Princeton's Xaivian Lee commits to transfer to Florida

Princeton’s Xaivian Lee has committed to transfer to Florida, On3’s Joe Tipton reports per his representation. That’s coming off a visit to the Gators down in Gainesville on April 15th.
Lee, who entered with a do-not-contact tag, was involved with several other top programs nationally. Among those reported connections during his recruitment in the portal were Duke, St. John’s, Kansas, and Kentucky.
“swampp,” Lee posted in his announcement on Instagram with an emoji of an alligator.
Lee has spent the past three seasons at Princeton. He has made 91 appearances in that time for the Tigers with 59 the last two years as their starting point guard. He has averaged 12.7 points (43.5% FG, 33.4% 3PT), 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in that career, including 17 points (44.5% FG, 35.2% 3PT on 1.9 threes), 5.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game as a starter. Lee has since been selected unanimously as First Team All-Ivy.
With that, Lee is among the best transfers, overall and at point guard, in the latest update to On3’s Industry Ranking of 2025’s Top Transfer Portal Players. He rates at No. 34 overall as the No. 7 PG.

Lee is now one of the first additions for Florida, the reigning and defending champions coming out of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. All they’ve had to this point are the expected departures from this season’s roster, namely in their backcourt with Walter Clayton Jr., Alijah Martin, and Will Richard. Alex Condon and Reuben Chinyelu have also since announced that they’ll be testing their names, while each maintaining their college eligibility, for the 2025 NBA Draft.
The Gators were in need of guard play considering all that was leaving off their title-winning roster. They got exactly that with Lee, their first pickup in the portal, as one of top transferring point guards on the market.
