San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) J Serra Catholic four-star power forward Sebastian Rancik is down to three schools. Moving forward, the 6-foot-9, 210-pound rising senior will consider Colorado, Oklahoma, and USC

In addition to his finalists, Rancik, who is originally from Slovakia, also received offers from UCLA, Ole Miss, Nebraska, San Diego State, Mississippi State, Arizona State, TCU, and others.

He has taken two official visits, to Colorado and USC. He’s also scheduled a return trip to the Buffs on September 7-9 and in the process of scheduling one with Oklahoma. Rancik does not yet have a commitment date.

Rancik spoke to On3 and provided a statement along with his final three schools.

“Throughout the whole recruitment process, it was an honor for me to get to know coaches who have accomplished great achievements in their careers. I’m really fortunate that the coaches of my top 3 aren’t only great professionals but individuals as well. It is a very important factor for me along with player development and the ability of the coach to push me to become the best player.”

Rancik breaks down his final three schools

Colorado: “I really like Colorado because of the program Coach Boyle and his staff built there over the years. I can see myself fitting in their system. I have a close relationship with the whole staff. The school is really strong academically. The campus is set in a beautiful location that reminds me of my home country.”

Oklahoma: “I really like Oklahoma because of the success they have in their program throughout the years. I have built a close relationship with the staff. Oklahoma is a top brand in the country. I’m looking forward to my visit there so I can learn more about the program and the school.”

USC: “I really like USC because of its winning culture and the competitive environment. Their staff has been there for a long time and are accomplished. Me and the staff have built a close relationship over the past months. USC is a really good basketball school but also academically they are amongst the best in the country which is very important for me.”
