SEC names Football Players of the Week after Week 13
The SEC produced another wild weekend of football, featuring some incredible performances throughout the conference. Afterwards, the league announced its Week 13 honorees on Monday, recognizing standouts who carried their teams in some of the biggest spots of the season.
There were a bevy of exciting contests, although the SEC caught some flack for their Week 13 schedule from other conferences. Still, the players came to show out, and some left no doubt who should be honored this time around.
Here’s the full breakdown of each SEC Players of the Week after the action on November 22nd. Check out the honorees below.
Offensive
Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia delivered a dominant performance, racking up 532 total yards and six touchdowns in a 45–17 win over Kentucky. He completed 33 of 39 passes for a school-record 484 yards and five scores, while adding 48 rushing yards and another touchdown.
Pavia became the first FBS quarterback this season to throw for at least 480 yards and five touchdowns in a game, tying the school record for passing TDs for the second time this year. His outing marked the most total offense by a Commodore since at least 1996 and helped Vanderbilt secure its first nine-win regular season since 1915 and first undefeated home record since 1982.
Defensive
Oklahoma defensive lineman Taylor Wein posted another disruptive performance with four tackles, 2.0 TFLs, 1.5 sacks and a QB hurry in the Sooners’ 17–6 win over No. 23 Missouri. He led a defense that held the nation’s sixth-ranked rushing attack to just 70 yards, 172 below its season average, and limited star RB Ahmad Hardy to only 57 yards.
Vanderbilt cornerback Martel Hight snagged two interceptions and added a pass breakup in the Commodores’ 45–17 win over Kentucky. His first pick ended the half and prevented the Wildcats’ first touchdown, while his second came on first-and-goal from the Vandy 1 in the fourth quarter. Hight’s plays helped limit Kentucky to just 102 total yards through three quarters and contributed to Vanderbilt’s ninth regular-season win.
Special Teams
Oklahoma punter Grayson Miller was outstanding in field-position control, averaging 44.9 yards on nine punts with five traveling 50+ yards and four downed inside the 20 in the Sooners’ win over Missouri. His five 50-yard punts tied for the second most in a single game in program history, and he now has 21 such punts this season—45% of his attempts.
Tennessee’s Jackson Ross punted twice for a 45.0 average in the Vols’ historic 31–11 win at Florida, their first in the Swamp since 2003. Both kicks were downed inside the six-yard line, including one at the 1, showcasing elite precision. A Ray Guy semifinalist, Ross leads the nation in percentage of punts downed inside the 20, with 19 of 33 (57.6%) landing deep in opponent territory.

Offensive Line
Vanderbilt tackle Isaia Glass delivered the Commodores’ top PFF pass-blocking and overall grades in their blowout of Kentucky, allowing zero quarterback hits across 47 pass-block snaps. He helped Vandy set a single-game program record with 539 passing yards and surpass 600 yards of total offense against an SEC opponent for the first time since 2016. Glass’ efforts also contributed to Vanderbilt controlling the ball for more than 36 minutes and securing its first nine-win regular season since 1915.
Tennessee guard Jesse Perry dominated in the Vols’ 31–11 win at Florida, playing all 73 snaps without allowing a sack, hit or penalty. He graded out as Tennessee’s top lineman while helping produce 452 yards of offense, including 248 rushing yards, the program’s most vs. Florida since 1992.
Defensive Line
Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons filled the stat sheet with five tackles, 1.5 TFLs, a sack, four pressures and a forced fumble that was returned for a 52-yard touchdown in a 52–37 win over Arkansas. He consistently disrupted drives with pressures that forced long field-goal attempts, three-and-outs and a third-quarter interception. Simmons now leads the Longhorns with 10 sacks, 12.5 TFLs and three forced fumbles, ranking top-10 nationally in sacks per game.
Oklahoma defensive lineman Gracen Halton tied his career high with seven tackles, including 2.0 TFLs and half a sack, in the Sooners’ win over Missouri. He spearheaded a defensive effort that held the Tigers—one of the nation’s best rushing teams—172 yards below their average and to zero second-half rushing yards. Halton now has 3.5 sacks and 6.0 TFLs on the year as OU secured its fifth ranked win of the season.
Freshman
Auburn freshman quarterback Deuce Knight delivered a historic debut, scoring a 75-yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage and finishing with six total touchdowns — four rushing and two passing. That tied the program’s single-game TD record.
He rushed for 162 yards, becoming the first Auburn QB to top 150 yards on the ground since Nick Marshall in 2013 and joining elite company with a 100-yard rushing debut. Knight’s explosive performance was something to behold for Tigers fans on Saturday afternoon.
