SEC names Football Players of the Week after Week 4

The SEC has named their Football Players of the Week after Week 4. It was the first week of conference play for some, and there were some awesome performances throughout the southeast. Check out the selections below.
Offensive
Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy kept his hot streak alive in a 29–20 win over No. 24 South Carolina. The reigning National Player of the Week piled up 138 rushing yards and a touchdown, with 118 of those yards coming after contact. He became just the second player in program history to record four straight 100-yard games. Hardy also ripped off runs of 38 and 27 yards, adding a highlight five-yard score along the way.
Defensive
Linebacker Jaden Yates set the tone for a stifling Ole Miss defense in a 45–10 rout of Tulane. He led the way with 11 tackles, the most by any Rebel in nearly a year, and added a half tackle for loss. Behind his effort, the Green Wave were held to their lowest point total in the series since 1992. Tulane managed just 282 total yards, with quarterback Jake Retzlaff limited to a career-low 56 through the air.
Special Teams
Oklahoma punter Grayson Miller flipped the field all night in the Sooners’ 24–17 win over No. 22 Auburn. The redshirt junior averaged 54.4 yards on five punts, including a booming 66-yarder in the second quarter. Three of his kicks traveled at least 50 yards, with one pinned inside the 20. His average from Saturday ranked as the third best in program history for a game with at least five punts.

Offensive Line
Missouri lineman Keagen Trost anchored a dominant performance up front in the Tigers’ 29–20 SEC-opening win over South Carolina. He paved the way for 285 rushing yards, with three different players topping the 70-yard mark. Trost graded out at 88 percent, per the SEC, as Mizzou averaged 7.2 yards per carry running behind his side of the line. He didn’t allow a sack or quarterback hit, giving up just one hurry on 27 pass attempts.
Defensive Line
Oklahoma senior R Mason Thomas made the most of his second-half debut in the Sooners’ 24–17 win over No. 22 Auburn. He racked up a season-high four solo tackles and two sacks, including a game-sealing safety in the final minutes. Meanwhile, Young finished with two tackles for loss, including a huge sack against the Gamecocks that led to forcing a field goal. Young also pressured the quarterback twice, keeping South Carolina off balance throughout the contest.
Freshman
Freshman kicker Robert Meyer delivered in the clutch during Missouri’s 29–20 win over South Carolina. He was perfect on the day, scoring nine points with makes from 23, 22, and 40 yards, and his final kick, a 40-yarder in the last two minutes, pushed the Tigers’ lead to two scores. Meanwhile, Vanderbilt linebacker Jamison Curtis made a big impact on special teams in the Commodores’ 70–21 win over Georgia State. He blocked a punt and returned it four yards for a touchdown, helping spark the rout.
