The last remaining undefeated SEC team, Texas A&M will head to CoMo on Saturday. The Aggies will take on Missouri, which is looking to stay in the College Football Playoff picture after coming in at No. 22 this week.

Texas A&M had a week off after a victory at LSU in Week 9, and the Aggies are looking to chart a path toward the SEC Championship. Missouri, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back from a loss to Vanderbilt prior to the bye and will have true freshman Matt Zollers under center on Saturday.

Texas A&M used a combination of staunch defense and a strong rushing attack to improve to 9-0 on the season for the first time since 1992. The Aggies took down Missouri 38-17 behind 464 total yards of offense, including 221 passing yards and two touchdowns from Marcel Reed.

On the fourth play of Missouri’s ensuing drive, Ahmad Hardy responded. He ran for a 45-yard touchdown to not only put himself over 1,000 yards this year, but cut into the Texas A&M lead. Mizzou trails 31-17 with 6:45 to play.

Rueben Owens rattles off 57-yard house call

After the field goal, Rueben Owens made it even more of an uphill battle for Missouri. The Texas A&M running back broke free for a 57-yard touchdown, extending the Aggies’ lead to 31-10 with 7:40 remaining.

Following a 60-yard kick return, Missouri finally found the end zone. Jamal Roberts took the direct snap four yards for a touchdown, after replay upheld the score. That cut the Texas A&M lead to 21-7 with 6:50 remaining in the third quarter.

After Missouri struggled to start the third quarter, Texas A&M got the ball and made quick work. Marcel Reed hit KC Concepcion on a screen pass, and he turned it into a 48-yard touchdown to extend the Aggies’ lead to 21-0 with 11:21 to go in the third quarter.

Following a missed field goal, Missouri wound up with 4th and 5 after an offside penalty on Texas A&M. The Tigers then brought the offense back out, but Matt Zollers’ pass fell incomplete – resulting in a turnover on downs with 5:09 to go until halftime.

Missouri quarterback Matt Zollers got hit in the hand during the first half Saturday. ABC’s Katie George reported he was “banged up” as a result.

“When the ball came out during Mizzou’s last offensive drive, Matt Zollers’ throwing hand got hit. He was on the bench flexing that same hand in between series. It was really red, some skin was broken, there was a little bit of blood. He took some reps throwing the ball in the team box, but that right hand is a bit banged up.”
