Texas A&M beats SMU and TCU for one of the state's top OTs Avery Morcho

Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point offensive tackle Avery Morcho has committed to Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Morcho chose to play for head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies over SMU and TCU among many others.
“Coach Elko is making a change in College Station and I want to be a part of it,” Morcho said. “I feel like going to A&M it’s going to be the best chance of developing me as a man and a top ten draft pick!”
The On3 Industry tabs Morcho as the No. 38 offensive tackle in the country. He adds to a Texas A&M class previously ranked No. 2 nationally.

Offensive line coach Adam Cushing was the lead recruiter for Morcho.
“I like how Coach Elko is changing the program,” Morcho has said in the past. “Every time I go to College Station I feel the family atmosphere.”
Morcho has been to Texas A&M several times including his official visit earlier this month. It was an experience that put the Aggies in pole position. Now they have his pledge.
“Highlights were my meetings with Coach Cushing and Coach Elko and the plan for me in the potential future.”
