On300 DL Jermaine Kinsler commits to Texas A&M, talks decision to play for Aggies
Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic four-star defensive lineman Jermaine Kinsler has committed to Texas A&M.
The four-star chose the Aggies over offers from the likes of Auburn, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Texas and many others.
“Just the connection with the coaches and it felt like home,” Kinsler said. Future position coach Sean Spencer was his lead recruiter.
“I like how Coach Chaos runs things and I felt that was the best fit for me.”
The On3 Industry ranks Kinsler as the No. 1 prospect in New Jersey, the No. 16 defensive lineman in the country and No. 176 prospect overall. He is commit No. 9 for head coach Mike Elko and his staff adding to a class the On3 Industry previously ranked No. 4 nationally.
“I like what Coach Elko is doing and he’s a defensive-minded coach,” Kinsler said. “That definitely led me in that direction.”
Kinsler will be back in College Station in March and return again for the spring game in April.
“The people in the build that made it very special to me.”
