Thursday evening, Texas A&M extended a new offer in the class of 2025 to top-50 Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola running back Taevion Swint.

Swint is the No. 49 overall prospect and No. 7 running back in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Florida.

What is interesting about the offer is that earlier on Thursday, Swing released a top eight list.

The list includes FloridaFlorida StateMiamiMichiganRutgersTennesseeTexasand UCF.

An interesting twist for Swint

With the offer being fresh, it is unclear how or if the offer will effect Swint and his recruitment. But nevertheless, the Aggies are now a part of the recruitment of a top-50 national prospect in the 2025 class.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Florida is the current favorite to land 5-foot-10, 175-pounder with the Gators holding a 54.0% chance.

Swint currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $57K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Texas A&M has now offered 14 prospects at the running back position in the 2025 class.

Texas A&M does not yet hold a commitment in the 2025 class.

To date, Texas A&M holds four commitments in the class of 2024, two of them coming from Texas. The four commitments are four-star Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove quarterback Anthony Maddox, four-star Longview (Texas) Pine Tree defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, four-star Katy (Texas) Tompkins offensive lineman Ashton Funk, and four-star Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton wide receiver Debron Gatling.
