WATCH: Texas Longhorns start dust-up over Horns Down following loss to Cal State Fullerton

Things got heated between the Texas Longhorns and the Cal State Fullerton Titans on Sunday evening following their baseball game. There was a bit of a scuffle between the two teams in the outfield in the bottom of the 11th inning, right after the game finished thanks to a walk-off RBI from the Titans. Apparently, Cal State Fullerton players flashed the “Horns Down” sign to the Longhorns players, and they didn’t appreciate it.

Texas fell behind 3-0 in the first inning on Sunday. With the loss, the Longhorns fell to 4-7 overall on the 2023 campaign. Eric Kennedy and Jack O’Dowd both blasted home runs for Texas on Sunday. Kennedy had four hits in six at-bats, driving in one RBI. The Longhorns were able to tie the game up at 4-4 in the top of the ninth inning, after they tacked on two runs.

Cal State Fullerton catcher Cole Urman has a cannon for an arm and should be well thought of by scouts in the upcoming MLB Draft. He’s excellent at picking off baserunners and if you want to check out some highlight clips you can see them here.

Texas lost their first three games of the 2023 season, before winning three more games, then losing three more. So, it’s been a bit of an up-and-down year for Texas baseball. They lost the series to Cal State Fullerton, 2-1. The ‘Horns won two of their three games in their series with Indiana.

Up next, on Tuesday, March 7, Texas will face off against Sam Houston State. Then, on Wednesday, March 8th, they’ll face the Mercer Bears.
