Karson Gordon pressed the reset on his recruitment last week, and now one of the nation’s best uncommitted quarterbacks and top multi-sport athletes in the country has locked in a commitment date.

After lifting Bellaire (Texas) Episcopal School to a state championship on Saturday, Gordon is ready to reveal his college decision. The On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 83-rated QB will announce his college commitment on Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT.

Last month, Gordon backed off his longtime commitment from UNLV on Monday after initially pledging to the Rebels back in April. UCLA extended an offer from Gordon earlier in the fall. Gordon went out to the Rose Bowl for the Colorado game last weekend.

“Some highlights were definitely the sold-out crowd and all the energy they brought,” Gordon told On3 after the trip. “It was like 71,000 in attendance, and that’s the biggest stage you can ask for as a college fotball athlete. I was excited I was able to visit for that specific game because I knew it was gonna be extra packed due to the pub that Colorado has been getting this year, and it definitely did not disappoint.”

Gordon is the nation’s No. 1,551 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 84 quarterback and No. 219 player in Texas.

The 6-foot-0, 175-pound Gordon does not currently have a publicly listed On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

UCLA looking to build on top-40 class

Boston College extended an offer to Gordon last weekend before Gordon played for a state championship.

UCLA is currently trending on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for the three-star QB.

The Bruins’ No. 39 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings consists of 12 committed recruits — three four-stars and nine three-stars.

West Hills (Calif.) Sierra Canyon four-star wide receiver Kwazi Gilmer ranks No. 208 nationally and headlines the Bruins’ class. Two additional four-star recruits are part of this group in Mission Viejo (Calif.) offensive tackle Mark Schroller and Tyler (Texas) athlete Derrick McFall.

UCLA also holds commitments from Waunakee (Wis.) three-star tight end Rob Booker, Tacoma (Wash.) Mount Tahoma three-star offensive tackle Marquise Thorpe-Taylor, San Bernardino (Calif.) St. John Bosco three-star running back Cameron Jones, Chula Vista (Calif.) Eastlake three-star offensive tackle Joshua Glanz and Lehi (Utah) three-star offensive tackle Jensen Somerville.
