Top-15 Cam Scott sets first official visit

Cam Scott is the No. 13 ranked player in On3’s 2024 rankings. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is the leading scorer (11.3 points on 49.6-percent) for one Team United team, which is one of Nike’s EYBL best 16u teams.
“I want to prove that I have consistent energy,” Scott told On3. “Show that I’m a top player in the country, of course. Coming out, I just want to lead the team, be a leader on the court at all times, and get to that Peach Jam.”
This success is coming off a June that saw him playing during the scholastic period in front of hundreds of college coaches. Then the Lexington (SC) High wing led the NBPA Top 100 Camp in 3-point shooting while winning a camp championship.
“I feel like it went pretty well. I feel like I improved in my confidence and leadership abilities,” Scott said. “Now, I’ve become more of a vocal leader. It’s one of the things that I had to do at the Top-100 camp. That’s what my coach challenged me to do; to be a leader. Now I’ve come out here, and it’s been paying off as I’ve been able to contribute that to my AAU team.”

Scott sets visit
“I’m planning on going to Oregon on October 1st,” Scott said. “I’m looking forward to setting visits with UNC, Florida State, and South Carolina too,”
Oregon: “Just the relationship with Coach (Chuck) Martin. You know, coming from South Carolina, we just kept the bond, kept the relationship strong. I’m looking forward to seeing what they have to offer.”
In his words
“I’m looking for somewhere I can feel comfortable,” Cam Scott said. “Where I can immediately come in and play my role. A place where I can develop each and every day, no matter if I’m with a coach, a trainer, with my teammates. Just a program where I can easily get better.”
