UAB expected to hire Middle Tennessee's Kenneth Gilstrap as secondary coach, special teams coordinator

UAB is expected to hire Middle Tennessee’s Kenneth Gilstrap as a defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator, sources tell On3.

Gilstrap, a former starting defensive back at Middle Tennessee, has been Middle Tennessee’s cornerbacks coach and special teams coordinator the last four seasons.

He was previously a cornerbacks coach at Florida A&M (2018) and Arkansas-Monticello (2017).

At UAB, Gilstrap will be part of the staff under Trent Dilfer, the former NFL QB who was hired as the Blazers’ head coach in November.
