ORLANDO, Fla. — Day three of practice for the Under Armour All-America Game is in the books. 85 of the nation’s top football prospects from the 2024 recruiting cycle were at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports on Sunday. On3 was on hand to take in the action.

Practices ran through Monday. The game will be played at Camping World Stadium on January 3.

The roster is divided into two teams – Team Fire and Team Ice. Several prospects showed out on Monday.

On3 MVP: CB Ellis Robinson IV — Georgia

Ellis Robinson IV elevated his game on Day 3 of Under Armour Practices. No defensive back got their hands on more passes on Monday. We counted at least three interceptions on the day by the future Bulldog. The highlight came during the 11-on-11 period towards the end of practice, when Robinson elevated to come down with a leaping one-handed pick on a jump ball intended for Auburn signee Perry Thompson. The 6-foot, 175-pounder’s coverage instincts, plus length and ball skills were readily apparent. Robinson locked horns with Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Cam Coleman on several occasions and won his fair share of the matchup. Robinson didn’t back down and was particularly strong in contested situations and within tight quarters. Even when he gave up a few completions, he found himself in good coverage. Robinson’s talent and competitiveness were certainly that of a Five-Star Plus+ prospect on Monday.

2. WR Cam Coleman — Auburn

Cam Coleman, Sunday’s On3 MVP, picked up where he left off. No player has had more ‘wow’ moments through three days of practice. Coleman had the catch of the week in 1-on-1s in the red zone, leaping and contorting his body to adjust for a one-handed grab on a back-shoulder pass. Coleman has the largest catch radius in Orlando and it may not be close. He pairs that with twitchy athleticism to present a lethal threat at every area of the field. The fact Coleman still has areas to improve and is young for the class is a scary thought, given the jaw-dropping flashes he’s had at Under Armour.

3. CB Ify Obidegwu — Oregon

Ify Obidegwu was a lockdown defender in coverage during Team Ice’s 1-on-1 period. The Oregon signee has the longest arms of any corner in attendance and it shows. Obidwegwu got his hands on several passes over the course of the day, building on a good day of work from Day 2. The length and physicality at the catch point proved to be a tough matchup for the Team Ice wideouts.

4. CB Ryan Mack — Miami

There may not be a more technical cover man in Orlando than Ryan Mack. The Miami signee hails from South Florida powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas and it shows. Mack has excellent technique. We haven’t seen him out of position yet. That continued to be the case on Monday, as Mack made a ton of plays in coverage. He went out after a collision and immediately came back in and made a play. Mack has shown the versatility to play both outside and in the slot and has a level of coverage polish that few in Orlando can match.

5. DL Dominick McKinley — LSU commit

Dominick McKinley, the new LSU commit, built on a strong Day 2 with an even better showing on Monday. McKinley used his outstanding bend and natural leverage to ignite several wins during Monday’s 1-on-1 period. The highlight came when he fired off the ball and forklifted Stanford signee Ziron Brown into the backfield. When McKinley is at his best, he’s proven to be a very tough matchup on the interior this week.

6. LB Justin Williams — Georgia

Justin Williams moves at a different speed than the other linebackers in Orlando. The former safety is a natural in space. He had an interception in 7-on-7 jumping an underneath pass for a would-be pick-six. Williams’ ability in space paired with the physicality he’s shown on Friday nights makes for a top talent at the position.

7. WR Ryan Williams — Alabama commit

Ryan Williams showed the most initial quickness and burst we saw among the wide receivers on Monday. Williams was highly effective at working underneath, separating off the line with ease. He particularly created mismatches when working out of the slot and over the middle of the field. The highlight of his day came when working over the middle in 1-on-1s – Williams elevated to come down with a nice grab in the back of the end zone. He has been up and down with strength at the catch point throughout the week but was working on that during practice and showed some improvement as the day went on. That type of attention to detail and drive to improve bodes well for his long-term development.

8. EDGE Booker Pickett Jr. — Miami

Booker Pickett Jr. continued to look like a mismatch on the edge during Day 3. It’s easy to see why the Miami signee was such a prolific pass rusher at the high school level. Pickett continued to show his strong combination of first-step quickness, bend and active hands. The Tampa native continued to win a high percentage of his 1-on-1s, highlighted by two wins over five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton. He will need to get bigger to hold up against the run, but the twitch and pass-rush nuance are on full display at Under Armour.

9. IOL Elyjah Thurmon — Clemson

Elyjah Thurmon has shown the best combination of movement skills and play strength among the interior offensive linemen on hand. The Clemson signee has added good weight and it’s showed in 1-on-1s. On Monday we saw Thurmon slow down five-star Oklahoma signee David Stone on a handful of reps, handling Stone’s length and violent hands and anchoring to stymie the rush. That improved anchor pairs with Thurmon’s plus athleticism for the position to make for a well-rounded prospect along the interior.

10. EDGE Zina Umeozulu — Texas

The Texas signee continued to show a pleasantly surprising array of twitchy and bend throughout Day 3. Zina Umeozulu made easy work of offensive linemen in the 1-on-1 reps we caught, coming off the ball low, using his length to get into the body of opposing offensive linemen. Like Sunday, we also saw Umeozulu slide inside at times, presenting a pass rush mismatch on the interior. The overall skill set he’s shown in Orlando along with is developmental frame is encouraging.

Additional Notes

+ Through three practices, Tennessee signee Jordan Ross has arguably shown the best combination of twitch, bend and frame among the EDGE prospects on hand. We saw him flash speed-to-power on one rep in 1-on-1s en route to an easy win. Ross would’ve been solidly within the top ten had we seen him take a few more reps.  With that said, he continued to show the high-end pass-rushing skill set.

+ DJ Lagway and Ethan Grunkemeyer continued to set the pace at quarterback, but the Team Ice quarterbacks, Mississippi State signee Michael Van Buren and NC State signee Cedrick Bailey Jr. had their best days as passers thus far. Lagway continued to show the livest arm on hand, delivering from multiple arm slots as he’s known to. There’s area to improve with his ball location and mechanics, but Lagway has thrown the ball well throughout the week. We also haven’t gotten the full breadth of his skill set thus far, as rushing has been limited in practice.

+ Texas corner signee Kobe Black had a strong rep in 1-on-1s against Cam Coleman, making a play on a low-thrown ball for a pass breakup. Black has plus length and a big frame that gives receivers issues in tight quarters. He may ultimately outgrow corner given his current size. Fellow Longhorn signee Xavier Filsaime had a strong rep against Bryant Wesco in 1-on-1s as well.

+ Florida linebacker signee Aaron Chiles is one of the more physically imposing linebackers on hand. We saw Chiles make a play in coverage in 1-on-1s.

+ South Carolina five-star EDGE signee Dylan Stewart actually took some reps at linebacker in 1-on-1s and looked very natural in coverage. It’s not every day you see a 6-foot-5, 250-pounder running 40 yards downfield, but Stewart was able to carry Kylan Fox down the seam with ease.

+ There’s no doubting five-star Oklahoma signee David Stone’s competitiveness. Stone has been a high-energy presence and very vocal in practices. He had an up-and-down day in 1-on-1s and met some resistance, but the quick, violent hands and physicality were on display.

+ Clemson signee Bryant Wesco had his best day of the week. He will need to get much stronger and work on his catching technique but separated with relative ease on Monday. The same could be said for Ohio State signee Mylan Graham and Oregon signee Jeremiah McClellan. Neither had their best day on Sunday, but we saw both rebound to make a handful of highlight plays on Day 3.

+ Mississippi State wide receiver signee Mario Craver continued to be automatic when working out of the slot and underneath. Craver caught a ton of balls on Monday, just like he did the day before. The 5-foot-10, 150-pounder has outstanding quickness and good ball skills.

+ We didn’t see Day 2 Top Performers Mike Matthews and Joshisa Trader take as many reps on Day 3 as they did on Sunday.
