Girton worked at Auburn from 2016 through last year, serving as chief operating officer and also briefly as the acting athletics director after the school and AD Allen Greene parted ways.
At Texas A&M, she was deputy AD from 2012 to ’16, which came after four years at South Carolina as chief operating officer and a nine-year run at TCU as an associate athletics director and senior woman administrator.
Before getting started as an administrator, Girton was a women’s basketball head coach for 10 years.
