Western Kentucky is expected to hire Drew Hollingshead as offensive coordinator, sources tell On3.

Hollingshead was Mississippi State’s inside wide receivers coach this season.

Hollingshead, a former Houston quarterback worked under Mike Leach at both Washington State and then Mississippi State. He joined Leach’s Washington State staff in 2016 as a graduate assistant before becoming an offensive quality control assistant. He was then hired by Leach as a quality control assistant at Mississippi State in 2020 before getting promoted to inside receivers coach last offseason.

At Western Kentucky, Hollingshead would be the replacement for Ben Arbuckle, who recently left the Hilltoppers to take the offensive coordinator job at Washington State.

Led by Arbuckle, Western Kentucky ranked sixth nationally in total offense this season.
