Where the top 25 quarterback recruits are committed in 2025
Dominoes are beginning to fall on the recruiting trail with spring visit season underway. With April underway, many of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 cycle are already off the board.
Of the top 25 signal-callers in the On3 Industry Ranking, 19 are now committed committed to Power Four programs. That includes seven of the top 10 and all of the top four gunslingers in the nation.
Below are the top 25 quarterbacks in the On3 Industry Ranking and where they are committed, as of April 4.
1. Bryce Underwood — LSU commit
School: Belleville (Mich.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 1
Scouting Summary: “Bryce Underwood is the early top quarterback prospect in the 2025 cycle. A top arm talent and plus athlete who is among the more physically-gifted quarterback prospects in recent cycles. Measured at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with a 10-inch hand the spring after his sophomore season. Owns a big-time arm with the ability to drive the ball with velocity to all levels of the field. Throws a very tight spiral that amplifies the velocity on the tail of his passes. Has shown advanced nuance and skill as a passer early on. Comfortable delivering over the middle of the field from within the pocket. Consistently sticks the ball on receivers against tight coverage. Shows the ability to layer passes with touch and high-level location. Doubles as a run threat with the ability to make defenders miss and pull away at the second level. Very young for the cycle with an August birthday and could technically be a 2026 prospect. Has considerable physical upside and room for continued growth.”
2. Julian Lewis — USC commit
School: Carrollton (Ga.)

Scouting Summary: “Julian Lewis is a polished signal caller who turned in the most productive freshman season among 2026 quarterbacks. Has been touted as a high-profile prospect, earning offers as a middle schooler. Measured in at around 6-foot-0.5, 185 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand prior to his sophomore season. Played well while facing some of the strongest competition among 2026 quarterbacks. Has advanced accuracy and overall polish at this early stage. Very consistent on a throw to throw basis in the camp setting. Shows the ability to locate passes to several areas, including over the middle of the field. Shows nice touch and ability to layer the football. Navigates the pocket well, sliding up to elude pass rushers. Can make defenders miss in space. Has plenty of time to continue growing, but is not overly physically imposing at this stage. Flashes a good arm, but his upside as a pure, top arm talent remains to be seen. Can also continue improving as a creative playmaker as he gets more varsity experience. Figures to be among the top quarterbacks in 2026 as the cycle progresses.”
3. George MacIntyre — Tennessee commit
School: Nashville Brentwood Academy

Scouting Summary: “George MacIntyre measured in at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds during summer campus visits. George MacIntyre- Tall signal caller with strong projectable tools as a passer and playmaker. Measured in at around 6-foot-5.5, 185 pounds with a 9.25-inch hand prior to his junior season. Has a tall, wiry build that should continue to fill out over time. Touts a tight, compact throwing motion with little moving parts. The release is whippy quick. Flashes good arm strength, with the ability to flick passes out to the boundary and downfield. Mechanical foundation points to a baseline level of accuracy. A bouncy, light-footed mover within the pocket. Avoids pressure in the backfield, stepping up in the pocket. Capable of making high-level second-reaction plays. Has strong improvisational skills. Shows a long stride in the open field. Doubles as a high-level high school basketball player and received high major looks as an underclassman. Plays a tough schedule, but does not have the production or efficiency typical of an elite quarterback prospect. High school team struggled in his junior season. Will need to continue making strides as a player on Friday night and adding weight to his frame, but has the potential to be one of the top quarterbacks to come out of the 2025 cycle.”
4. Tavien St. Clair — Ohio State commit
School: Bellefontaine (Ohio)

Scouting Summary: “Tavien St. Clair is a pure passer with prototypical physical tools that point to one of the higher developmental upsides among quarterbacks in the 2025 cycle. Measured in at 6-foot-3.5, 210 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand prior to his junior season. Made a considerable jump in development during the off-season between his sophomore and junior years. Has smooth and tight mechanics as a passer. Touts a quick release that is easily replicable. Consistently throws a tight spiral. Mechanical foundation makes him a naturally accurate passer. Off to a strong start to his junior season. Doubles as a solid runner who can pick up yards with his legs when called upon. Functional mobility gives him the ability to extend plays. A three-sport athlete, also playing basketball and baseball. Shows above-the-rim bounce on the hardwood. The degree of improvement from his sophomore to junior years is indicative of an ascending prospect.”
5. Matt Zollers — Missouri
School: Royersford (Pa.) Spring-Ford
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 46
On3 RPM: Penn State 49.5%, Pittsburgh 14.9%
Scout’s Take: “Matt Zollers is a quarterback that we’ve been high on for some time at On3. He was a four-star outlier for us in the mid-season junior update with just one Power Five offer. Has since seen his recruitment explode and I think that’s certainly with good reason. His play-making ability, I think stacks up perhaps the best that we’ve evaluated among this QB group — at least what he showed as a junior. He’s got the projectable, physical traits. Over 6-foot-3.5, 200 pounds, very good athlete, tests well in the combine setting and it’s in a functional way, you see it on Friday nights. He can really make improvisational, creative plays. Big-time arm, can push the ball vertically, you see him make 60-plus yard throws on Fridays with accuracy. Had a really strong junior season, there’s not many holes to poke in Zollers’ game.”
6. Husan Longstreet — Uncommitted
School: Corona (Calif.) Centennial
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 60
On3 RPM: Texas A&M 97%, Auburn 1%
Longstreet on his game: “I like the quick game, being a playmaker,” Longstreet told Auburn Live. “More of an explosive style. I’ll take the quick play, but if I see someone open deep, I’m going to send it to them. Looking at the way Aaron Rodgers plays, just letting the ball go, that’s what I like to do. If I see them (open) they’re going to get it now. I’m a deliverer. At the same time, I like to lead my team wherever we need to go on and off the field. That’s who I am.”
7. Deuce Knight — Notre Dame commit
School: Lucedale (Miss.) George County
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 57
Scouting Summary: “Deuce Knight is a big left-handed signal caller who is the top athlete at the position early on in the 2025 cycle. Measured in at around 6-foot-4.5, 195 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand prior to his junior season. Registers as a truly elite athlete at the position via his offseason testing and track and field background finishing his sophomore track and field season as one of the top high jumpers in Mississippi. Transfers that athleticism over to the field on Friday nights. Easily eliminates the angles of pursuit defenders as a scrambler and on designed runs. Tough to bring down in the backfield with his size and reactive quickness. Touts a strong downfield arm. Has made progress as a passer from his sophomore to junior seasons. Still developing, but has the upside to continue improving with continued in-game reps. Transferred to Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tenn. for the beginning of his junior year before heading back to Greene County just a few games into the season. Also plays basketball. Considered as a very high upside prospect who is just scratching the surface of his physical potential.”
8. K.J. Lacey — Texas commit
School: Saraland (Ala.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 73
Scout’s Take: “K.J. Lacey is an absolute gunslinger who is rightly drawing a lot of comparisons to Alabama’s Heisman winning quarterback Bryce Young. His style of play is very heavy on scrambling for time and using his arm to hit throws down the field, which can become pretty overwhelming if a team can’t contain him in the pocket. Lacey excels at making very fast decisions and getting the ball out, sometimes at the cost of better footwork that would make for more consistent throws. Occasionally he manages to make incredible off-platform throws with pure arm. Sometimes he sets himself up well, at other times the ball gets away from him. As his skills develop with time, his ability to see opportunities and zip the ball out will be better supported by his footwork and he’ll become increasingly dominant. In Steve Sarkisian’s offense he’d excel hitting the deep shots down the field and would also benefit from opportunities to move around and attack with a spread field.”
9. Akili Smith Jr. — Oregon commit
School: San Diego Lincoln

Smith on his commitment: “The family aspect that they preach at Oregon is amazing,” Smith told On3. “That sticks out to me a lot and I see it and feel it when there. Coach Lanning is preaching about brotherhood, taking care of your brother and that is a big part for me. I know I have people up there that love me and that I can trust. The coaches were a big reason why I chose Oregon, too. Coach Stein is a master-mind that is smart and creative. He knows what he is talking about, Coach Lanning is a great leader and it is just a program I want to be a part of.”
10. Keelon Russell – SMU commit
School: Duncanville (Texas)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 99
Scout’s Take: “Keelon Russell was at the dials of one of the nation’s top high school offenses, completing 74.1% of his passes for 3,267 yards and 35 touchdowns against four interceptions while leading powerhouse Duncanville (Texas) High to another state title in Texas’ highest classification. There’s no doubt Russell plays with an elite supporting cast a Duncanville, but he put some high-level throws on film while facing strong competition. He’s one of the younger top quarterbacks in the cycle and is a good athlete who can extend plays.”
11. Antwann Hill — Uncommitted
School: Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 105
On3 RPM: Florida 43%, Georgia 13%
On Hill’s recruitment: “He’s definitely going to take some time now to see what happens with the transfer portal, what QB rooms look like come early 2024. The moving parts of recruiting, who commits, decommits, who signs with who in 2024. Who commits early at QB in the 2025 class and what QBs make moves in the portal,” On3’s Chad Simmons said. “I think that’s very important — the room, the opportunity he sees. I think it comes down to two things after that: QB development — who can put him in the right spot to be successful … and then relationships.”
12. Madden Iamaleava — Uncommitted
School: Long Beach (Calif.) Warren

On3 RPM: TCU 26.2%, SMU 22.9%, Tennessee 19.6%
Scout’s Take: “Madden Iamaleava (No. 148) took over for his brother, Tennessee quarterback and former five-star Nico Iamaleava at Warren High and had a fantastic first season as a varsity starter. The younger Iamaleava passed for 3,626 yards and 43 touchdowns against four interceptions, while making some impressive throws on film.”
13. Ty Hawkins — TCU commit
School: San Antonio Claudia Taylor Johnson
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 162
Scout’s Take: “Ty Hawkins showed playmaking ability both as a passer and rusher as a junior at San Antonio (Texas) Johnson. The TCU pledge is the most productive rusher among the top 2025 quarterbacks, running for 1,079 yards and 15 scores. He was also effective through the air, completing 67.4 % of his passes for 2,239 yards and 25 touchdowns. The 6-foot-0.5, 200-pounder shows good pocket movement and ability to make plays in the face of pressure. He’ll need to continue improving his lower body mechanics in order to maximize his accuracy.”
14. Carter Smith — Michigan commit
School: Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 195
Scout’s Take: “Carter Smith is a 2025 prospect who we’ve liked a good bit on On3 and have been high on for the past year, dating back to his sophomore season,” On3’s Charles Power told The Wolverine. “Carter has a lot of ability as a dual-threat quarterback and is one of the top baseball players in the state of Florida. He’s a true athlete at quarterback when you look at what he can do in the run game. His improvisational ability and his ability to get in the end zone with his legs. He can do a lot of things from an improvisational athletic perspective.”
15. Ryan Montgomery — Uncommitted
School: Findlay (Ohio)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 197
On3 RPM: South Carolina 58.9%, Florida 16.1%
Recruiting Insider’s Take: “Ryan Montgomery stands in the pocket and delivers the football to the playmakers all around the field. The ball is also usually on time and it is usually catchable. Montgomery also gives his playmakers time to catch the ball and turn up the field for more yardage. He doesn’t play in a way that requires him to carry the entire offense. Montgomery is point guard-like. He also plays with a lot of rhythm. Physically, he’s a massive athlete. He’s 6-foot-3, 215-220 pounds. Montgomery is a good enough athlete to not allow blown assignments up front to end plays immediately. Montgomery can get into space and get going and hurt defenses as a runner.”
