While the attention of the recruiting world has shifted to the Class of 2023, there are still two top unsigned seniors that are coveted by college recruiters. Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Lebbeus Overton and four-star offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. have busy visit schedules that will greatly impact where they sign. On3 breaks down the latest and details where things stand with Overton and Conerly.

Five-Star Plus+ DL Lebbeus Overton

On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 8

On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Texas A&M 93.4%, Georgia 2.8%, Oklahoma 1.5%, Oregon <1%, Ohio State <1%
The Skinny: Lebbeus Overton begins his official visit schedule this weekend with a trip to Oregon. That visit will be followed up with a stop in Athens on March 20. He then will be at A&M on March 25 before finally finishing out his trip schedule at Ohio State on April 16 and Oklahoma on April 23.

“I’ll be making visits in the next month,” Overton said last week. “And then I’ll commit sometime in April.

“At the end of the day you’re going to have to earn your own position. If they’re happy I reclassified, then great. If not, then not, but it’s a job from here on… It’s really about who I’m vibing with based on communication, relationship and academics.”

Heading into the visits, Texas A&M is believed to be the overwhelming favorite to land Overton. The On3 RPM is trending heavily in the Aggies’ favor, and On3 recruiting team members Chad Simmons and Gerry Hamilton have logged predictions for A&M.

However, Overton has talked openly about his interest in the Ducks, how Ohio State has gotten back into the race and about his strong relationship with Dawgs head coach Kirby Smart.

Four-star OT Josh Conerly Jr.

On3 Consensus Ranking
: No. 40
On3 NIL Valuation: $16.1K
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: USC 44.2%, Oregon 22.3%, Michigan 12%, Washington 9.2%, Oklahoma 4.5%, Miami 4.5%
The Skinny: Josh Conerly Jr. has been down to six schools — USC, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon and Washington — for quite some time.

Conerly has visited Michigan, Oklahoma and Miami and is scheduled to be in Oregon this weekend. He’ll join Overton as the focus of a massive recruiting weekend in Eugene.

Conerly will then take his final official visit to USC on March 25, and it’s the Trojans that are currently in the lead, according to the On3 RPM. However, there is plenty of room for movement. Zero predictions have been logged in Conerly’s recruitment.

That’s because most insiders know the Oregon visit could play a major role in his decision, and there appears to be a few more twists and turns left before Conerly decides. Heck, there’s even a thought that Michigan still might be in this more than many think.
