4-star WR Winston Watkins Jr. commits to Ole Miss

Fort Myers (Fla.) Venice four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr. has committed to Ole Miss.
He chose the Rebels while holding over 20 other Power Four offers. Watkins is a former Texas A&M and Colorado commit.
The 5-foot-9.5, 175-pounder is the No. 271 overall prospect and No. 38 WR in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 40 player in Florida.
The Rebels had Watkins on campus multiple times this year, including for a summer official visit in June and a game visit last month. He’s now the fourth wideout in the Ole Miss 2025 class, flanking five-star WR Caleb Cunningham, four-star WR Dillon Alfred and three-star WR Samari Reed.

“The ultimate goal and ultimate level is the NFL. Ole Miss can get me there,” Watkins told OM Spirit this summer. “I was talking to coach McDonald about it. I believe in him and think he can help me get there.”
“You can tell the people are genuine, they all have good spirits. I loved the coaching staff,” he added. “The coaching staff loves to compete, it’s a very good environment.”
