Morgan & Morgan is back to striking NIL deals, this time signing Georgia tight end Brock Bowers.

The nation’s largest injury firm has been a major player in the NIL space. It became one of the first law firms to partner with a student-athlete in September of 2021. And it’s inked some big-time athletes, such as Coastal Carolina’s Grayson McCall and 10 members of the Kentucky basketball team.

Bowers is just the latest Bulldogs player to join the campaign; former Georgia star Jordan Davis had his own billboard last year. This year’s deal was brokered by Bower’s NIL rep, Everett Sports Marketing. A three-month agreement, he’ll be featured on billboards in Athens, Atlanta, Savannah and throughout Georgia.

The contract also calls for a social media component for the sophomore. Through seven games this season, Bowers has 26 catches for 393 yards and two touchdowns. It’s what he’s been able to do on the ground that really shows what he brings to the Georgia offense, though. On just three carries he has 82 yards and three touchdowns.

“Morgan & Morgan attorneys are champions for our clients in the courtroom,” Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to partner with Brock Bowers, one of the leading offensive weapons for college football’s defending National Champions. We’re excited to return this season to continue supporting and engaging with fantastic young athletes like Brock.”

Brock Bowers capitalizing on NIL potential

The Georgia tight end has only ramped up his NIL activity following his breakout freshman season. In Year 1 with the Bulldogs, Bowers delivered a national championship and led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns.

All of it made for a strong NIL foundation which he’s carried into this fall. He first signed on with Associated Credit Union, then inked a long-term agreement fast-food chain Zaxby’s.

NOBULL then announced an agreements with Bowers, along with Josh DownsZach Charbonnet, Will Levis and Bryce Young. That came only a day after the athletic training brand was announced as the official combine training partner of the NFL.

Bowers currently holds an On3 NIL evaluation of $1.1 million. He’s seen his valuation grow 22%, roughly  $201,000, over the past 14 weeks. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.

Brock Bowers’ evaluation ranks No. 16 in the NIL 100,  which is the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation. The valuation sits at No. 10 in the college football rankings.
