Grayson McCall has not had trouble finding NIL deals. The Coastal Carolina star is the top returning quarterback at the Group of Five level after leading the FBS with a 207.7 passer efficiency rating last season.

He previously signed with Tom Brady’s apparel brand and Darlington Raceway. McCall is now rolling out his own merchandise through Native Sons, a custom apparel company based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Chanticleers’ quarterback has T-shirts with #IPISSTEAL, which alludes to his now infamous quote, “When I say I piss teal, I mean it.” Fans can also buy a hat featuring his “GMC” initials.

He has signed a one-year, five-figure contract with Native Sons with the room for growth. McCall’s NIL representation, ESM, brokered the deal.

“I’m excited to partner with Native Sons. They have been great to work with, they are a local company and big supporters of Coastal Carolina,” McCall said in a press release. “Being able to participate in designing my signature line of apparel is very exciting and is a dream that myself and every 21st-century athlete have today.”

The Coastal Carolina quarterback had the opportunity to hit the transfer portal after this past season to play at the Power 5 level, but he opted to return. With a 20-2 record in two seasons as a starter, he’s thrown 54 touchdown passes and six interceptions. He’s also a two-time Maxwell Award semifinalist.

The back-to-back Sun Belt Player of the Year opens the season on Sept. 3 at Army. He’ll have a quick turnaround time, too. His deal with Darlington Raceway calls for him to wave the green flag for the 73rd edition of the Southern 500 at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Grayson McCall cashing in on NIL potential

Thanks to his performance on the field and a growing brand reputation, Grayson McCall has been able to be a winner in the new age of NIL. Thanks to his deal with Darlinton Raceway, he will be featured in the track’s marketing campaigns.

He also holds an On3 NIL Valuation of $437k, which sits right outside of the NIL 100. It also ranks as the 74th highest in the college football NIL rankings. And with a social media following of 34,000, he has a per post value of $1,800.

The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The On3 NIL Valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
