Ladd McConkey and Joe Milton have teamed up to create one of the funniest NIL deals to date.

The Georgia wide receiver and Tennessee quarterback won’t meet on separate sides of the field until Nov. 18, when the Bulldogs visit Knoxville. But in their latest partnership, the duo have come together to star in a marketing campaign for The Dairy Alliance.

Supporting the Tennessee and Georgia Dairy Alliances, the parties have come together for a promotion that’s been dubbed, “The Milk Bowl.” The goal is to drive attention and education toward milk. The campaign was facilitated by Everett Sports Marketing.

In a video provided to On3, McConkey and Milton are sitting in ice tubs, trading facts about how milk can help with hydration and strength.

“Just one eight-ounce glass of milk help me muscle up,” Milton says in the commercial. McConkey quickly shoots back, “You need all the help you can get.” The Tennessee quarterback says, “Game on” and pulls out a gallon of milk.

A fun NIL campaign, it’s a smart move by The Dairy Alliance to get the promotion in front of a large audience by working with two of college football’s biggest names.

A year ago, former Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett switched his nickname from the “Mailman” to “Milkman” in a partnership with The Dairy Alliance.

Ladd McConkey, Joe Milton build NIL brands

Now a two-time national champion, McConkey has been able to profit from his growing stardom status in Georgia. On top of a season-long deal with Shuman Farms, he also has partnerships with Onward ReserveFreddy’s and the Georgia-driven NIL collective Classic City Collective.

With more than 80,000 social media followers, McConkey has an attractive brand that companies want to do business with. The wide receiver dealt with a back injury earlier in the year but has 15 catches for 242 yards and a touchdown in four games. He has a $223,000 On3 NIL Valuation.

Milton has found similar NIL success. The Tennessee quarterback has quickly become one of the most closely followed quarterbacks in the country this fall, and his NIL deals prove it. Along with a partnership with Hometown Realty, he entered into an NIL deal with Beats by Dre. As part of the agreement, he gifted his entire team Beats Studio Pro wireless headphones, which sell at retail for $349.99.

The former Michigan transfer re-signed his NIL deal with the NIL collective The Volunteer Club in January. He also inked an NIL deal with Funderburk Family McDonald’s in September, allowing fans to purchase the “Milton Meal” at select McDonald’s locations in Tennessee. The quarterback has a $707,000 On3 NIL Valuation, ranking No. 42 in college football. It’s also 61st in the On3 NIL 100, the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.

Milton has thrown for more than 1,700 yards and 13 touchdowns along with four interceptions.

About the On3 NIL Valuation

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future.
