A trio of Michigan basketball players will be giving back to the Ann Arbor community this weekend thanks to their NIL.

Jett and Jace Howard, along with Tarris Reed, are hosting a youth camp Sunday at Ann Arbor’s Huron High. Put on by the Michigan-focused NIL collective Stadium & Main, registration is open for kids ages six to 16 for $125. The skill development camp is set to run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET.

Terms of the athletes’ agreements were not shared.

Since the inception of NIL in July 2021, youth camps have become a popular way for athletes to monetize their publicity rights. It’s an easy way to provide fans and kids access to some of their favorite players. An opportunity to give back to their college’s community, camps also provide a direct source of funding for athletes.

Juwan Howard is in his fourth season as the head coach in Ann Arbor, but this is his first with his two sons. Jace is currently a junior, two years older than his younger brother. The 6-foot-7 guard has seen action in 21 games this season, averaging 1.5 points.

A four-star shooting guard coming out of IMG Academy in the 2022 recruiting class, Jett has seen immediate playing time as a freshman. In 24 starts this season, the younger Howard is averaging 14.8 points while shooting 42.8% from the field. Another member of the 2022 class, Reed has become a role player for the Wolverines. He’s averaging 3.4 points and rebounds per game.

Michigan is currently 14-11 this season with an 8-6 mark in Big Ten play. The Wolverines visit Wisconsin on Tuesday night for a 9 p.m. ET tip off.

Stadium & Main expanding into basketball

Stadium & Main was founded last May by former Michigan football players Jamie Morris and James Hall. Athletic director Warde Manuel provided support in a letter to the Michigan community back in December.

The collective is also powered by PlayBooked, a company offering fans and brands the opportunity to book athletes for video shoutouts and live video chats. The NIL startup was founded by former Wolverine tight end Keith Mitchell.

Jett and Jace Howard, Tarris Reed Jr.’s On3 NIL Valuation

Jett currently has a $254,000 On3 NIL Valuation, which ranks in the top 30 in men’s basketball. The freshman has amassed more than 41,000 social media followers and previously inked a partnership with F45 Training Ann Arbor.

His brother, Jace, was part of that deal, too. Jace is also a Barstool Athlete. Tarris Reed currently holds an $18,700 On3 NIL Valuation.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.

The On3 NIL Valuation is publicly available. Performance, Influence, and Exposure ratings along with the athlete’s personal Brand Value Index and Roster Value Index are available only to the athlete in the “Athlete Verified” private dashboard on the On3 Athlete Network.
