Anthony Grant is the perfect example of what happens with your On3 NIL Valuation when you have a monster game at a football-crazy school like Nebraska.

After rushing for 189 yards on 23 carries and two touchdowns against North Dakota, Grant was named the Big Ten’s Co-Offensive Player of the week, splitting the honor with Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford. Because of his exploits – and his emergence as one of the best offensive players in recent history for the Cornhuskers – Grant now has an On3 NIL Valuation of $552,000.

That value puts him at No. 1 on the Huskers’ roster ahead of quarterback Casey Thompson, who has a $318,000 On3 NIL Valuation. Defensive lineman Garrett Nelson is third on the Nebraska roster at $269,000, followed by defensive linemen Caleb Tannor ($140,000) and Ty Robinson ($121,000).

Grant, a Buford, Georgia, native now has 290 rushing yards on the season, with four touchdowns. He’s averaging 6.9 yards per carry. Grant is the first Husker player to have back-to-back 100-yard games since Devine Ozigbo in the 2018 season. Nebraska has gone three straight seasons without a 1,000-yard running back – the longest stretch in modern-day program history. Grant is currently on a pace to rush for 1,740 yards based on the numbers in his first two games.

Anthony Grant poised to make big NIL moves

Anthony Grant has made an immediate impact since he arrived in the spring from junior college. He was ranked as the No. 1 junior college running back in the On3 Consensus. He’s already showcased why he earned that lofty ranking. And now he’s in a position to strike it rich from a NIL standpoint.

Grant has already signed a NIL partnership agreement with Athlete Branding & Marketing LLC, a NIL representation company for student-athletes. ABM operates the Huskers’ focused N100 collective and is behind a number of key deals in the Nebraska market, including Decoldest Crawford’s viral commercial with a local AC company.

Based on his social media postings, it does not appear Grant has secured a NIL deal with other companies. But it just has to be a matter of time before that changes, especially with his performance on the field.

At this point, Grant has nearly 8,000 – and climbing – followers on social media. He also has an On3 Per Post Value of $295.

What is the On3 NIL Valuation

With his $552K On3 NIL Valuation, he also ranks at No. 64 in the On3 NIL 100 and No. 40 in the On3 College Football NIL Rank.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure. And based on Grant’s first two weeks of play at Nebraska, he’s getting plenty of all three.
