Jocelyn Alo is one of the most recognizable softball stars ever. As her Oklahoma Sooners celebrate a historic run to win back-to-back Women’s College World Series championships, Alo is taking advantage of numerous NIL opportunities.

She was the subject of Oklahoma’s first co-branded NIL product. It’s a shirt from Breaking T, which includes her image on it. Along with that image of her swinging a bat is a caption of her nickname, “Home Run Queen.” That shirt was announced on the heels of her record 96th home run.

This being the first co-branded NIL product with the Oklahoma logo on it is a big deal. It came before a single football player at Oklahoma had this kind of NIL deal. It goes to show Alo’s popularity, dominance, and the strength of her brand.

“The announcement marks a landmark day in the NIL era for OU and women’s sports as a whole and comes during Women’s History Month. This summer also marks the 50th anniversary of Title IX,” Oklahoma announced in a statement.

Who is Jocelyn Alo?

It is harder for student-athletes in sports like softball to build their brand as well as those in sports like football or basketball. Still, Jocelyn Alo has been able to do this and then some by being one of the best players to ever play in college. With that, the Oklahoma star has built her brand and made NIL deals.

Alo is the game’s all-time leader in home runs. It’s a record that she broke in her home state of Hawaii. Since then, Alo has hit more than two dozen more home runs to shatter the previous record. To get to that record she has hit more than 30 home runs in a season three different times.

She played a key role in Oklahoma’s back-to-back national championships and will be remembered as one of the best to ever play the game.

Alo’s other NIL deals

That’s not the only NIL opportunity that Jocelyn Alo has had, though. She signed a NIL deal with Fowler Automotive in April. That was a deal that Alo announced on Twitter. She also signed with Blast Motion in June. They’re a company that tracks swing metrics and will make her a part of Team Blast.
