Texas QB Quinn Ewers, TE Ja'Tavion Sanders to host camp using NIL

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders are using their NIL rights to promote a youth football camp at Hill Country Middle School in Austin, Texas on Saturday, July 22. The three-hour camp starts at 9 a.m. It’s open to boys and girls ages eight to 16.

Ewers promoted the camp on Twitter. The camp fee is $150.

“Can’t wait to see y’all there!” Ewers tweeted.

The promotional graphic featured the logos of Octane Football and Wilson. Octane Football, which runs a 7v7 league, has previously partnered to host camps with San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard.

Earlier this week, Ewers announced he’s hosting his first NIL event for Texas fans, boosters and alumni. “An Evening with Quinn Ewers” is scheduled for the later in the day after he and Sanders host the youth football camp on July 22.

Ewers’s NIL event starts at 6 p.m. at Golfinity in Austin. Children’s tickets are available for $37.89, adult tickets cost $283.84 and VIP packages for four attendees cost $2,312.21.

Quinn Ewers’s On3 NIL Valuation

Ewers started 10 games for Texas in the 2022 season, when the Longhorns finished 8-5.

The 6-2, 204-pound quarterback completed 58.1% of his attempts for 2,177 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions last season. The Big 12’s football coaches named Ewers an honorable mention candidate for Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year.

Ewers has an On3 NIL Valuation of $1.1 million, which ranks No. 19 in the On3 NIL 100 and No. 13 among current college football players. Ewers has a large social media following, especially on Instagram. He has more than 150,000 followers on Instagram and more than 50,000 on Twitter.

The former Five-Star Plus+ quarterback prospect reclassified to the 2021 recruiting class, where he earned five-star status from all four major recruiting services. Ewers was the No. 3 prospect nationally in his recruiting class, plus the No. 1 quarterback prospect and No. 1 recruit in Texas, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

He enrolled early at Ohio State, where he spent one season before transferring to Texas.

Sanders is a junior who received first-team All-Big 12 honors from the Big 12’s football coaches and the Associated Press last season. He caught 54 passes for 613 yards and five touchdowns in the 2022 season.

Sanders was ranked as the No. 12 prospect and No. 1 athlete in the 2021 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $496,000.
