Over the past few days, some of the nation’s top high school talent has converged in San Antonio for the All-American Bowl.

There’s also plenty of NIL potential waiting to be tapped into. While states such as Georgia, Texas, Alabama and Florida do not allow high school athletes to profit off their NIL, most prospects participating in Saturday’s game at the Alamodome have already signed with their respective college.

It’s only a matter of weeks or months until they arrive on college campuses and begin signing NIL deals. Some have already brought on NIL representation.

Before kickoff, On3 is breaking down the top five On3 NIL Valuations playing in the game.

All-American Bowl Roster Breakdown

1. Dante Moore

On3 NIL Valuation: $741,000
Position:
Quarterback
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 9
College choice: UCLA

Dante Moore was one of multiple highly-touted quarterbacks to flip late in his recruitment this cycle, choosing UCLA over Oregon in December. He’s since impressed the past few days at the All-American Bowl. On3’s Charles Power and Cody Bellaire voted the five-star the top quarterback from the practice sessions, describing him as, “noticeably the best passer on hand over the course of the week.”

Saturday will provide the opportunity to catch a glimpse of him against some of the nation’s top high school talent. While Michigan does not allow high schoolers to monetize their NIL, Moore already has a strong brand in place to start executing deals when he lands in Los Angeles. And his On3 NIL Valuation ranks No. 60 in the NIL 100, which is the first of its kind and defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes ranked by their On3 NIL Valuation.

2. Christopher Vizzina

On3 NIL Valuation: $549,000
Position:
Quarterback
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 47
College choice: Clemson

There’s not much doubt that Christopher Vizzina has the physical traits to be a good college quarterback. With a strong arm and good-sized frame, he moves well. He was constantly making some of his top plays this week while moving out of the pocket. The rest will come with time. He ranks No. 60 in the On300 and No. 75 in the NIL 100.

The Clemson signee will be thrown right into the quarterback mix when he enrolls, especially following the departure of D.J. Uiagalelei. While Cade Klubnik will be the starter next season, Vizzina will be taking snaps as the backup and developing into Clemson’s offense.

3. Caleb Downs

On3 NIL Valuation: $408,000
Position:
Safety
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 6
College choice: Alabama

Caleb Downs continues to live up to the Five-Star Plus+ hype. He led his Mill Creek High School team to a state title, playing both sides of the ball. He was named a top performer at each All-American Bowl practice this week. And on Friday, he was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Georgia. Quite the stretch for one of the top talents in the 2023 class. While Downs did make the trip to Ohio State for the Michigan game, Alabama ultimately won out in his recruitment. He’s a college-ready defensive back prospect.

4. Eli Holstein

On3 NIL Valuation: $362,000
Position:
Quarterback
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 69
College choice: Alabama

Alabama was always aiming to take two quarterbacks in the 2023 cycle. When Eli Holstein decommitted from Texas A&M last March, the Tide entered the race. He eventually committed shortly after in May, even when Arch Manning was still uncommitted. A four-star quarterback, he set the Elite 11’s all-time SPARQ record. Holstein posted a 4.64 second 40-yard dash, 4.19 second short shuttle and 38.3 inch vertical at 6-foot-3.5, 222 pounds. With a big-frame, he’s able to use his athleticism in the running game, too.

5. Anthony Hill

On3 NIL Valuation: $355,000
Position:
Linebacker
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 15
College choice: Texas

For nearly his entire recruitment, Anthony Hill appeared to destined to be an Aggie. The No. 1 linebacker in the 2023 class, he committed to Texas A&M on July 30. But he backed off his pledge in November, re-evaluating his options. Then last month, he picked Texas and signed with the Longhorns. A college-ready type player, Hill has made some eye-catching plays this week. Probably none standout as much as when he lowered his shoulder in practice Thursday. It’s not only his football IQ. Hill was flying through drills seamlessly this week.

About the On3 NIL Valuation

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation calculates an athlete’s NIL value using dynamic data points targeting three primary categories: performance, influence and exposure.

About On3 NIL Valuation, Brand Value, Roster Value

While the algorithm includes deal data, it does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it set an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.

The On3 NIL Valuation accounts for an athlete’s roster value and brand value. Roster value is the value an athlete has by being a member of his or her team at his or her school, which factors into the role of NIL collectives. Brand value factors in an athlete’s personal brand and the value it could bring to regional and national brands outside of the scope of NIL collectives.
