Community Guidelines
ON3 | RIVALS
Last updated: October 27, 2025
On3 provides a platform for fans, publishers, and contributors to share insights, opinions, and discussions about college sports and related topics. We welcome open dialogue, debate, and creativity — but participation requires mutual respect, authenticity, and adherence to these Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”).
These Guidelines apply to all activity on On3.com and its related message boards, forums, comment sections, social features, and affiliated communities (collectively, the “Interactive Services”). All use of the Interactive Services is also governed by the On3 Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Failure to follow these Guidelines may result in the removal of content, suspension or termination of accounts, or other actions at On3’s discretion.
1. Be Respectful
Treat others with respect, even when you disagree. You may criticize opinions, teams, or decisions — but not people.
- Do not harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other users, On3 staff, or moderators.
- Do not use hate speech or discriminatory language, including slurs, stereotypes, or demeaning comments based on race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected traits.
- Personal attacks (on users, athletes, staff, or public figures) are not permitted.
Healthy debate is welcome; targeted hostility is not.
2. No Illegal, Harmful, or Dangerous Content
Content that promotes or incites illegal or unsafe activity is prohibited. This includes:
- Violence, terrorism, or threats of harm;
- Distribution of illegal substances or controlled materials;
- Doxxing, stalking, or sharing private personal information;
- Posting or soliciting sexually explicit or pornographic material;
- Encouraging self-harm or suicide;
- Impersonating others in a misleading or harmful way.
3. Keep It Authentic
On3 is a community built on real conversations.
- Do not use fake accounts, bots, or multiple identities to mislead or manipulate discussion.
- Do not impersonate On3 employees, moderators, athletes, or journalists.
- Do not post fabricated news, rumors, or false statements intended to deceive.
- Content created using AI or automated tools must be disclosed if posted.
4. Respect Intellectual Property
Post only content that you have the right to share.
- Do not upload, post, or link to copyrighted material (articles, images, videos, etc.) without authorization.
- Do not post others’ private photos or recordings without consent.
- Respect trademarks, brand names, and logos — including On3’s.
5. No Spam, Commercial Promotions, or Solicitations
On3 is for discussion, not advertising.
- Do not post links or comments primarily intended to sell, promote, or drive traffic to external products or services.
- Do not spam, mass-post, or flood threads.
- Do not solicit money, donations, or subscriptions from other users without On3’s written approval.
6. Maintain Relevance and Quality
Keep discussions productive and on-topic.
- Avoid repetitive, low-effort, or off-topic posts.
- Do not intentionally derail discussions or engage in “trolling.”
- Post headlines and titles that accurately describe the content.
- Respect that each team site or board may have its own moderators and rules for local discussion.
7. Protect Privacy
Do not share private or personal information about yourself or others, including:
- Real names (if not publicly known), phone numbers, addresses, or email addresses;
- Personal health or financial details;
- Non-public information about athletes, employees, or others.
Even public information should be shared responsibly and with respect.
8. No Manipulation or Misuse of the Platform
You may not interfere with the normal functioning of On3’s systems or communities.
- Do not attempt to hack, scrape, mine data, or reverse-engineer the site.
- Do not manipulate votes, karma, or rankings through coordinated activity or fake accounts.
- Do not attempt to evade moderation actions or bans.
- Do not disrupt discussions with scripts, automation, or coordinated trolling.
9. Moderation and Enforcement
On3 reserves the right to remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts for any reason — including violation of these Guidelines or the Terms of Service.
Moderators and On3 staff have broad discretion to interpret and apply these Guidelines. Enforcement may include:
- Content removal;
- Warnings or temporary suspensions;
- Permanent bans or account deletion;
- Loss of posting or monetization privileges.
On3 is not obligated to explain moderation decisions, though it may do so at its discretion. On3 also reserves the right to report content or user activity to law enforcement if required by law or deemed necessary for safety.
10. Reporting Violations
To report a violation of these Guidelines, please contact [email protected] or use the “Report” function on the Website. Include a link or description of the content and reason for concern. On3 reviews reports but does not guarantee removal or response unless required by law.
11. Continuous Improvement
On3 may update these Community Guidelines at any time. Continued use of the Interactive Services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
