The Cincinnati Bengals defensive backs let Jerry Jeudy have it postgame following a 17-16 victory against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. Jeudy caught their attention this week after wishing other teams “good luck” in defending the Browns receiving corps.

The Browns receiver hauled in five of eight targets for 66 yards in Sunday’s loss. After that relatively moderate production, the Bengals DBs were vocal on their way to the locker room.

“Bengals DBs chanted ‘we need to worry about who?’ & ‘good luck who’ in locker room after beating Browns,” NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe posted on X. “Reference to Jerry Jeudy in-week comments that fueled them. Bengals CB Cam Taylor-Britt told me they got their swagger back & they’re out to rewrite defensive narrative.”

Cincinnati also forced a pair of interceptions from Browns quarterback Joe Flacco. That included one late in the fourth quarter with 1:30 remaining in the game.

On a day where the Bengals offense managed just 141 total yards, it was the defense that helped pull out the win. Another interception in the third quarter ended up leading to the go-ahead field goal on the next drive.

In the end, Cincinnati got a sweet victory against a division rival. This won’t be the only time these two teams meet this season, but Jerry Jeudy will have to wait all the way until Week 18 to get his revenge on the Bengals.

The Bengals, on the other hand can relish in starting out the season 1-0. They’ll hope their defense can be equally as disruptive next week when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Report: Bengals star Ja’Marr Chase leaving Nike for Kevin Hart-invested Fabletics

Cincinnati Bengals superstar receiver Ja’Marr Chase is reportedly leaving Nike to sign a sponsorship agreement with Fabletics — a relatively new apparel brand in which comedian Kevin Hart is invested in — according to FOX Sports insider Jordan Schultz. Chase will be the first NFL star to sign with Fabletics, per Schultz.

According to its website, Fabletics started in 2014. It began as “a vision to fuse fashion with activewear” and has become a global active lifestyle brand that produces both men’s and women’s sportswear, footwear and accessories.

Chase is entering his fifth NFL season and coming off a career year that helped him secure a historic four-year, $161 million contract extension that made him one of the highest-paid non-quarterbacks in the league with an average annual salary of $40.25. Newly minted Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons is currently the highest-paid non-QB after signing a record-shattering four-year, $188 million extension that will pay him $47 million annually after last week’s shocking trade away from the Dallas Cowboys.
