Today’s Texas race had 12 cautions. Drivers, including Brad Keselowski, wrecked out of the race early. The NASCAR Cup Series had more issues with the bump in Turns 3 and 4 than they did with the grass in the quad-oval. But there were plenty of problems.

Brad Keselowski ended today’s race P28 with a wrecked car. His teammate and driver, Ryan Preece, was P29. Today, Chris Buescher carried the banner for RFK in P18, but even he had a blown right rear at one point.

After the race, Keselowski was asked about the struggles drivers had. He kept it pretty simple when talking about his own wreck.

“I was trying too hard and busted my butt. Looked pretty dumb,” Keselowski said to Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports.

When asked directly about the Cup Series as a whole, Brad related it back to himself again. These cars are just so uneasy on this track, and it causes issues.

“It’s just the cars are right on the bump-stops, and you’re driving the hell out of them. When you step over, you step over, and that’s what I did,” Keselowski said.

Brad Keselowski continues to have the season from Hell. He hasn’t had a single top-10 finish this year. This is the fourth time this year he has gone home with a DNF. I’m not sure what it will take, but something has to change soon, or this 6 team can just throw this season in the trash.

Brad Keselowski and Jeremy Bullins 2.0 isn’t working

While the two had success at Team Penske together, Brad Keselowski and Jeremy Bullins 2.0 is not working. With Rodney Childers a free agent right now, I’m honestly shocked that RFK and Keselowski specifically haven’t reached out.

A lot of people will say that Bullins’ time at Wood Brothers with Harrison Burton was hindered by the driver. But that was a disappointing tenure for all involved, not just one person behind the wheel.

Brad Keselowski’s car is not even on the same planet as his teammates’ right now. Ryan Preece and Chris Buescher have consistently been quicker, better, and that reflects in the standings.

In 2024, Keselowski had one win and was a runner-up four times. I don’t think he’s fallen off this hard in just a few months between seasons. This goes much deeper than the former champion. Will a crew chief change fix everything? No, but it has to start somewhere.
