Charles Barkley did not hold back when he was talking about the Dallas Cowboys on the ManningCast. The former NBA star and current ESPN NBA analyst appeared on the show to talk about the Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals game with Peyton Manning and Eli Manning. When the Cardinals were up 24-10 in the third quarter, Barkley expressed his frustration with the Cowboys.

“I am so mad right now cause I took the Cowboys tonight and I am so pissed right now,” Charles Barkley told the Manning brothers. “I’m not even going to lie. I mean, how can you come out this flat when I bet on these damn bums? I am really mad right now.”

The interesting thing about Barkley sounding off on the Cowboys and betting on them is that he called them out last week on Inside the NBA. He said that ESPN is “contractually obligated to talk about the Cowboys every day, even though their defense can’t stop a bloody nose.” That led to Shaquille O’Neal telling Barkley not to talk about the Cowboys like that since they are his team.

“Stop people from scoring,” Charles Barkley stated. Don’t trade your best defensive player, then whine about can’t stop anybody.”  Barkley was referring to the Cowboys trading edge rusher Micah Parsons before the start of the season.

Charles Barkley was right about the Dallas Cowboys

Ultimately, Barkley was right to be angry with the Cowboys as they ended up losing to the Cardinals 27-17. Dallas drops to 3-5-1 on the year, and their hopes of reaching the playoffs are fading.

But is help on the way for the Cowboys? Ahead of the Monday night game, team owner Jerry Jones said he has made a trade and will announce it on Tuesday.

“A lot of action going on right now in terms of trading, we certainly have made a trade and we may make a couple more trades before that deadline,” Jones told Stephen A. Smith in SiriusXM Radio, per NFL.com. “We’ve made one. We possibly could make two more, and I’m going to wait and let you read about that when we send the papers in tomorrow.”
