Chiefs WR Rashee Rice pulls up to Chargers game rocking signed Kyle Larson jacket
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice rocked his signed Kyle Larson jacket before he played in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs’ official X/Twitter account shared a photo of Rice wearing the jacket while walking to the stadium.
Rashee Rice attended the NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway in May with Chiefs general manager Brett Veach, and both were guests of Kyle Larson, who is a big Chiefs fan. Larson won the race and sent Rice a signed jacket and hat.
Unfortunately, the jacket didn’t bring the Chiefs luck as they lost to the Chargers 16-13. Kansas City not only lost on Sunday, but the team’s star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, tore his ACL and will miss the rest of the year. Additionally, the Chiefs have been eliminated from playoff contention.
In the loss, Rice caught seven passes for 51 yards. He was suspended for the first six games of the 2025 season and has recorded 53 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns through eight games.

More on Rashee Rice and Kyle Larson
“He’s a competitive kid,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said about Rice when he made his 2025 debut in October, per the Associated Press. “He did come here to step in, and he’s always ready. He practices a third of the practices because (offensive line coach) Andy (Heck) rotates him in there. I thought he did a nice job the other night. He played well. We have a lot of trust in him. Most of all, the guys around him have a lot of trust in him.”
Larson’s victory at Kansas Speedway would be his last race win of the 2025 season. However, the 33-year-old did enough to make his way through the playoffs and win the NASCAR Cup Series championship at the end of the season.
Larson now has two Cup Series titles, winning his first one in 2021. In the last four years, Larson has finished in the top 10 of the final standings each season and was runner-up to the title behind Ryan Blaney in 2023. In 402 career NASCAR Cup Series races, Larson has earned 32 victories and 204 top-10 finishes.
