Ex-Raiders coach Antonio Pierce claims Tom Brady shared 'tidbits' on opposing teams with him

Former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce just shared some interesting information on team minority owner Tom Brady. During a recent appearance on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio, Pierce told Adam Schein that Brady shared “tidbits” on opposing teams with him.
“This is unprecedented, what we’re seeing,” Antonio Pierce said, per Pro Football Talk. “I think I would be uncomfortable if it was the other way around, to be honest with you. Because you’re not dealing with just a normal person. Tom Brady is the elite of the elite, one of the greatest quarterbacks, one of the greatest players in the game, played against him, obviously, student of the game.
“It’s not hard for him to watch a few things on a Friday practice or hear things in a production meeting and be like, ‘Hmm,’ and have tidbits. And you’d be foolish enough to think that he’s not gonna share that with the Raiders because we had those conversations about certain things.”
Tom Brady officially became a minority owner of the Raiders in 2024. Pierce was the head coach of the Raiders at the time, but was fired once the 2024 season ended. The Super Bowl champion linebacker was discussing Brady after the legendary quarterback was seen in the Raiders’ coaches’ box during the team’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night.

Antonio Pierce says Tom Brady ‘built’ the 2025 Raiders
One would think that’s not a big deal since Brady owns part of the team. But the issue for some people is that Brady also works for Fox Sports as an NFL commentator for the network’s No. 1 broadcast team, which could be a conflict of interest because broadcasters receive information from teams ahead of the game they are going to call.
“He was at training camp,” Pierce said. “He’s been around, he was at OTAs, he was in the draft meetings. He’s been around a lot more than he was last year with me. So our conversations were more about how we fix the Raiders. I think this year, you know, he built that team.”
Fox hired Brady to be part of the broadcast team in May 2022, but he didn’t start his new role until last year. In May 2023, Brady and his business partner, Knighthead Capital Management co-founder Tom Wagner, entered into an agreement to purchase 10 percent of the Raiders. The NFL owners approved the purchase, with Brady and Wagner each owning five percent each.
