Former Packers TE Jimmy Graham attempts Lambeau Leap after Saints TD

New Orleans Saints (2-0) veteran tight end Jimmy Graham scored his first touchdown of the 2023 season in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers (1-1) Sunday.
But it’s what Graham did, or rather attempted to do after scoring, that made headlines. Graham, the former Packer, went for a Lambeau Leap. The Packers’ faithful, however, weren’t giving him any access to pull it off.
Graham, 36, spent two seasons with the Packers (2018-19), hauling in 93 receptions for 1,083 yards and five touchdowns. He spent the 2022 season away from football, before signing a one-year deal with the Saints this offseason. The Saints originally drafted Graham in 2010 out of Miami, and he spent five seasons with the team.
Graham became one of the best tight ends in the NFL in New Orleans, earning his first and only All-Pro nomination in 2013, along with three Pro Bowl appearances. He ranks eighth all-time in receiving yards by a tight end (8,506).

Jimmy Graham feeling at home in New Orleans
“It feels amazing to be back home,” Graham said in July after signing with the Saints. “Just driving up to the facility on Monday brought back beautiful memories for me. Not only here in this building but here in this city. I became a man in this city. It meant everything to me to play for this city. So to come back here and to be able to get all those amazing memories, amazing wins, amazing people, amazing fans is truly special.
“It made me pretty emotional Monday and Tuesday just to be able to be back here and, obviously, to be able to put my jersey back on. Words can’t describe what it feels like to be gone for that long from something that you love from the people that you love. So I’m fired up.”
