Giants, MetLife Stadium troll Taylor Swift using Lawrence Taylor

The New York Giants trolled Taylor Swift by using Lawrence Taylor in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. During a break in the game, the Giants debuted the “Taylor Cam” to make fans think the team found Taylor Swift at MetLife Stadium. Instead of discovering the 14-time Grammy Award winner, the camera showed Lawrence Taylor sitting in a suite while smoking a cigar.
The Giants did this because Swift has attended multiple Chiefs games since she began dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in 2023. The couple is getting married, as they announced their engagement earlier this month.
Last month, Swift appeared on the New Heights podcast, which is hosted by Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce. In the episode, Swift talked about the early stages of her relationship with Travis Kelce.

“I knew that he wasn’t crazy the first couple of times that we talked. I was just like, ‘He’s truly getting to know me in a way that’s very natural, very normal,” she said. “The way that he could make me laugh so immediately about normal things.”

“He’s just a vibe booster in everyone’s life that he’s in,” she continued. “He’s like a human exclamation point, like when you take a picture on your phone and you click the enhance color button.”
Last week, Kelce spoke to Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews about his time with Swift. “She has brought excitement and a joy for life that has made me a better man, made me a better person,” Kelce told Andrews, per The Athletic. “And made me just that much more comfortable with who I am.”
Having Swift at the Chiefs-Giants game would have been big, but Giants fans are happy to see Lawrence Taylor in the building. The 66-year-old spent his entire career with the Giants (1981-1993) and became one of the best defensive players in NFL history. Taylor was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year three times, won the MVP Award in 1986 and led the Giants to two Super Bowl championships. Taylor was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.
