Jalen Ramsey ejected from Steelers vs. Bengals game for throwing punch at Ja'Marr Chase

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Jalen Ramsey was ejected in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Week 11 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals for throwing a punch at wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. The punch came in between plays during a moment of jawing between the two players.
This has been building for some time. Not too long before Ramsey’s ejection, he was involved in a pushing and shoving contest with Chase, in which both had to be separated from one another.
Ramsey is out, which means the Steelers are down one half of their safety tandem. Ramsey made the switch to safety two weeks ago as injuries piled up in Pittsburgh’s secondary. He had four tackles and a PBU prior to his ejection.
Jalen Ramsey ejected, further discipline could be coming
Ramsey, 31, is in his first season with the Steelers, acquired this past offseason in the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade. He’s played in every game for Pittsburgh this season, compiling 43 tackles (27 solo), five PBUs and one interception. Ramsey previously said he was excited by the move to safety.

“I guess you could say it brings a renewed energy for me because playing corner for 10 years, you kind of learn the game and it kind of becomes same old, same old, same old every day,” Ramsey said, via the team’s website. “Not saying that I wasn’t learning or wasn’t trying to continue to grow that role. At safety, now I’m in the meetings and things. I’m learning new things to look at, different ways to look at the game from the safety’s point of view. But it’s been cool.”
Fortunately for the Steelers, Ramsey’s ejection didn’t cost them against the Bengals. They are in control 34-12 late in the fourth quarter, well on their way to improving to 6-4.
