NFL broadcaster Charissa Thompson reveals her home was robbed

NFL broadcaster Charissa Thompson recently revealed that her home was robbed. Fortunately, she was not at home at the time of the intrusion and nobody was injured.
Thompson detailed the experience on the Calm Down podcast with Erin Andrews. Although she wasn’t at home at the time of the robbery, she saw everything because of an alert she received on her phone.
“I was at the ranch. I got a text message in the morning that said my front door in L.A. had been, you know,” Thompson said. “The alarm had went off at 12:15 at night. And I was like, that’s weird. So, I checked my cameras and sure enough, two guys running out my front door, bags in their hands.
“And I immediately started bawling and this feeling in my stomach of like, holy s— I’ve just been robbed. And now it’s the panic of like, trying to check the other cameras, the angles, and to expedite the specifics.”
During the podcast, Thompson said she believes the suspects jumped over a 15-foot fence to gain access to her property. They then broke a window, which set off the alarms in the house.

Thompson wasn’t overly concerned about the stuff taken from her home. But the one thing she lost can’t be easily replaced or regained.
“These were professionals, they knew exactly how much time they had. They were only in there for four minutes,” she said. “They can take all that stuff. But the thing that they took to me that was the most valuable is my sense of security. And that’s not something I can go claim on an insurance form.”
Thompson currently works for FOX and Amazon Prime, covering the NFL. She has enjoyed a strong career in broadcasting, which dates back to 2006. Last year, she began her covering Thursday Night Football, which aired exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
Thompson has also had stops with Big Ten Network, ESPN and FS1.
