NFL insider reveals what Quinn Ewers brings to Dolphins in first career start
Rookie QB Quinn Ewers will get the start Sunday in place of the benched Tua Tagovailoa as the Dolphins take on the Bengals. ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported Ewers has certain instincts that Miami appreciated and wants to see the rest of the season.
“What Dolphins noticed about new starter Quinn Ewers pre-draft and throughout development: Instincts as a thrower and fearlessness,” Fowler wrote on Twitter/X. “‘He’s not afraid to let it rip,’ as one person with the team told me this week.
“Not considered as accurate as Tua Tagovailoa but will push the ball downfield. Dolphins felt Ewers needed time in Year 1 to get his body right after several injuries in college. Now, after all offseason and 14 games behind the scenes, Ewers is poised for a three-game sample to see what he can do.”

Ewers is just five-of-eight passing for 53 yards in one game this year. So this will be his first extended game action of the year, despite the Dolphins being eliminated from playoff contention.
