Patrick Beverley, who spent time in the NBA from 2013 to 2024, is accused of punching his sister in the eye and choking her at a Texas home. According to TMZ Sports, Beverly’s sister told officials she left the home in the middle of the night without permission to see her boyfriend, Aiden Hilderbrand, at a nearby park. When she returned home, her mother told her to enter her room before telling her to call Hilderbrand and tell him to pick her up.

When Hilderbrand arrived, he was told to come inside, and Lisa called Patrick Beverley to come to the home. Beverley allegedly yelled at his sister before he “grabbed her by her neck with both hands, and picked her up off the ground, by having her feet come up from the floor.” Beverley’s sister claimed that he took her out of the bedroom by the neck and slammed her body against the walls of an open room area. She then said Beverley placed her on the sofa, stood on top of her, and punched her “approximately one time on her left eye with a closed fist.”

The Los Angeles Lakers selected Beverley in the second round of the 2009 NBA Draft. However, the former Arkansas Razorbacks star played overseas from 2008 to 2012 before signing with the Houston Rockets in 2013.

In his NBA career, Beverley was selected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2017 and the All-Defensive Second Team in 2014 and 2020.
