Report: Minnesota Vikings sign Silas Bolden to undrafted free agent deal

The Minnesota Vikings have signed former Texas receiver Silas Bolden as an undrafted free agent, according to a report from Tom Pelissero. He played just one season with the Longhorns after starting his college career at Oregon State and will now get an opportunity to prove himself in the pros.
Bolden helped Texas to reach the College Football Playoff semifinals this past season, recording one catch for 24 yards in a loss against Ohio State. He ended the year with 23 catches for 267 yards and one touchdown.
The 5-foot-8 receiver also served as a punt returner for the Longhorns. He returned 30 punts this past season — including one brought back for a touchdown — for an average of 10.5 yards per return.
Bolden had the best season of his college career in his final year at Oregon State in 2023. He finished that season with 54 catches for 746 yards and five touchdowns. He also served as a kick returner and a punt returner for the Beavers, an area where he could also find a role in the NFL.
Silas Bolden played high school football at Rancho Cucamonga (CA), where he was a three-star prospect. He ranked as the No. 1,250 overall player and No. 206 receiver in the 2020 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The Vikings are coming off of 14-3 finish this past season but lost in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Bolden will hope to make an impression in training camp to try to carve out a role to help them get back there in 2025.

Jake Majors signs undrafted free agent deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Former Texas offensive lineman Jake Majors has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported. He entered the 2025 NFL Draft as one of the more experienced players out there.
There are 57 career games on Majors’ college resume and 56 of them were starts. That’s a program record at Texas as he was a staple along the offensive line during his time on the 40 Acres, playing primarily under Steve Sarkisian.
Majors played high school football at Prosper (TX), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 260 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
“When I first committed to Texas, I said this a good bit, and I’ll say it again, my commitment wasn’t just for my personal well-being,” Majors said ahead of the College Football Playoff semifinal vs. Ohio State. “It was to bring Texas back to where it belonged in the early 2000s. So, to say that I’ve been a part of this journey for Texas has been a true blessing.”
