Snake stirs up trouble in Dodgers dugout during NLCS vs. Mets
There’s a snake in my boot the Dodgers’ dugout.
Yep, the Los Angeles Dodgers indeed had a slithering and unwanted visitor in their dugout during Game 2 of the NLCS against the New York Mets on Monday. The snake was spotted on the dugout steps by RHP Brent Honeywell, who alerted his nearby teammates.
“It’s a real one too, not a prank,” FOX Sports announcer John Smoltz said. “We’ve had ‘Snakes on a Plane,’ ‘Snakes on a Train’, and the latest Hollywood hit is ‘Snake in the Dugout.'”

Dodgers looking to extend NLCS series lead over Mets
Some are saying the Arizona Diamondbacks dropped off the reptile as a gift, although we can’t confirm. The snake was eventually removed from the dugout by a brave member of the Dodgers’ staff and seemingly relocated elsewhere, most certainly outside Dodger Stadium.
With that settled, the game continued with the Dodgers looking to claw their way back into the game. The Mets jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning courtesy of a solo shot from shortstop Francisco Lindor. The following inning, third baseman Mark Vientos hit a grand slam, giving New York a 6-0 lead. Los Angeles has since put up three runs on the scoreboard, trailing 6-3 in the eighth inning.
The Dodgers are up 1-0 in the NLCS after recording a 9-0 shutout victory in Game 1 on Sunday.
