Texas travels to Kentucky for a Week 8 clash in the Southeastern Conference. With game day approaching, the opening odds and point spread have been revealed.

This is one of those matchups that both fans will have to get used to with Texas well into its second season in the SEC. So far, the two programs have met in both seasons.
Last year’s matchup represented the first meeting between Texas and Kentucky since 1951. The Longhorns would defeat the Wildcats 31-14 in Austin. Texas has won both meetings with the first being a 7-6 win in favor of the Longhorns.
Moreover, this will be the first time Texas takes on Kentucky in Lexington. Both previous meetings have been in Austin, so it’ll be a first-time environment for Texas and company this weekend.

The Longhorns are coming off their most highly-anticipated matchup of the season, the Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma. Kentucky was on its by last week after losing to Georgia 35-14 in Kroger Field. The Wildcats are off to an 0-3 start to SEC play, and would love to pull off the upset over the Longhorns in front of Big Blue Nation.
