Troy Aikman trolls Jerry Jones amid Cowboys brutal showing on MNF: 'May want to cancel that trade'

Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones made headlines Monday when he revealed on SiriusXM Radio the team made a trade ahead of Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline. But after watching the Cowboys for three quarters Monday night, Troy Aikman feels that Jones might want to reconsider.
The Cowboys wrapped up the third quarter of Monday’s Week 9 home against the Arizona Cardinals down 27-10. Aikman has some concerns about his former team.
“Yeah, he may want to cancel that trade,” Aikman said. “I don’t think one player, from what I’ve seen tonight, is going to make a difference for this group.”
Jones said of the player they have apparently acquired, “immediately it will have him on the field, and it will address some of the things that have been our shortcomings.” That would indicate a move to help fix Dallas’ No. 31 ranked defense, which came into Monday’s game having allowed 404.6 yards per game and 31.3 points per game. It hasn’t been any better against the Cardinals, who have had zero issue moving the ball on the Cowboys’ defense.

Jerry Jones hints at trade deadline deals for Cowboys
Dallas will fall to 3-5-1 if the current score holds. Jones seems set on making some moves to improve the roster.
“Well, I hope you will appreciate that since the deadline is tomorrow, the details are tomorrow,” Jones said on Monday Night Countdown. “… The idea is are we busy thinking about it or am I sitting up here thinking about the oil and gas or am I trying to build a team? That’s trying to get our defense ready to go. I’ve taken a little kidding about some of my comments recently about our oil and gas business.
“But seriously, this is the time when we have a chance to help the Cowboys. Any time that I can do that, we burn the midnight oil and there’s a good chance we’ll have some things to talk about tomorrow.”
