Tucker Kraft injury update: Packers TE carted off field vs. Panthers

Green Bay Packers (5-1-1) tight end Tucker Kraft was carted off the field after suffering a knee injury during Sunday’s Week 9 home game against the Carolina Panthers (4-4). The injury occurred in the third quarter.
Kraft was pulling on a run play when a Packers offensive lineman’s leg swung into his right knee. The 24-year-old Kraft stayed on the ground in obvious pain.
Kraft rode in the cart to the locker room. He is questionable to return, the Packers announced.
Green Bay will be down its leading pass catcher should Kraft miss any extended time. He entered Sunday’s game with a team-leading 30 receptions for 469 yards and six touchdowns. Kraft is third among all NFL tight ends in receiving.

In last Sunday’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3), Kraft had the game of his career. He tallied seven catches for 143 yards and two scores.
“That’s big time. He’s a big-time player, and I think everybody’s seen what he’s capable of when he gets the ball in his hands,” quarterback Jordan Love said of Kraft. “Making guys miss, running people over, getting those extra yards. Anytime he touches the ball, he’s going to fight for all those yards, and he’s just an explosive playmaker. I’m just glad that everybody’s seeing what he’s all about now.”
