Dallas Cowboys left guard Tyler Booker is expected to miss 3-4 weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain, per beat writer Clarence Hill Jr. Booker played 74 snaps in Sunday’s loss against the Chicago Bears but was seen on a scooter Monday.

It is the latest in a string of injuries for the Cowboys after receiver CeeDee Lamb also suffered an ankle injury Sunday. Lamb has a similar timeline for return as Booker.

Booker is in his rookie season with the Cowboys, who selected him 12th overall out of Alabama in the 2025 NFL Draft. He started the first three games of this season at left guard.

The news on Tyler Booker means the Cowboys will be even more shorthanded for their Week 4 contest against the Green Bay Packers. That will also mark the return of linebacker Micah Parsons, whom Dallas traded before the season, to AT&T Stadium.

T.J. Bass is a likely candidate to fill in as a start while Booker is out. Bass, who played college football at Oregon, is in his third season with the Cowboys and has made five career starts.

After losing to Chicago on Sunday, Dallas is off to a 1-2 start on the young season and these recent injuries don’t exactly inspire confidence things will turn around. But perhaps the shorthanded Cowboys can still find a way to make things competitive when they kick off against the Packers at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Jerry Jones: Cowboys won’t pay tribute to Micah Parsons ahead of Packers game

This Sunday night, Green Bay Packers (2-1) linebacker Micah Parsons will make his return to AT&T Stadium in a primetime matchup against the Dallas Cowboys (1-2). Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said Monday that the organization isn’t planning on recognizing Parsons before the game.

“I don’t think that’s appropriate this way, Emmitt [Smith coming back] was a different story. But that’s not to diminish Micah,” Jones said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “I think Micah’s got enough welcome out there. We just need to show we’ve got antidotes for that.”

The Week 4 meeting between the Cowboys and Packers will be exactly one month removed from Jones trading Parsons in a blockbuster deal. Parsons, 26, requested out of Dallas after making zero progress on a new deal as he entered the 2025 season set to play on his fifth-year option. The Packers believed Parsons could transform their defense, rewarding him with a four-year, $188 million deal with $136 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
