On Saturday, Notre Dame will host USC in South Bend. The two programs will look to add another entry into one of the most storied rivalries in college football.

USC and Notre Dame first met in 1926. The two schools have played each other every year since except from 1943-45 due to World War II and in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Notre Dame boasts a 50-37-5 all-time record against the Trojans.

Oddsmakers expect another excellent battle between the two teams this weekend. According to BetMGM, Notre Dame is a 7.5-point favorite to defeat USC. Additionally, the over/under for the game is set at 61.5 points.

How to watch USC at Notre Dame

Time: Saturday, Oct. 18 | 7:30 p.m. ET
Channel: NBC, Peacock
Location: Notre Dame Stadium (South Bend, Indiana)

USC jumpstarted its season with a four-game win streak. However, the Trojans’ momentum was brought to a screeching halt when they fell 34-32 to Illinois in Week 5.

USC’s defense has struggled to find its footing this season. Even in the Trojans’ Week 4 win over Michigan State, they allowed 31 points and 337 total yards. Thankfully, USC’s offense has had enough firepower to typically make up for the team’s defensive woes.

In USC’s dominant win over Georgia Southern, Trojans quarterback Jayden Maiava erupted for 412 passing yards and four touchdowns without throwing an interception. Of course, USC won’t be the only team with a talented offense on the field Saturday.

Notre Dame lost its first two games of the season, but had nothing to hang its head about. The Fighting Irish traded blows with two of the best teams in the country in Miami and Texas A&M.

Since its 0-2 start, Notre Dame has looked strong and quarterback CJ Carr has only picked up steam. Carr never looked better than in Notre Dame’s blowout win over Arkansas. He notched a career-high 354 passing yards in the triumph.

Carr will look to put on another standout showing Saturday when Notre Dame takes on USC at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will air live on NBC.
