Report: Warren Brinson signs four-year, $4.4 million deal with Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers have signed former Georgia defensive tackle Warren Brinson to a four-year, $4.4 million deal, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. Brinson, 23, was selected 198th overall in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Brinson is an experienced player, suiting up in 59 games for the Bulldogs over the last five seasons. He finished his collegiate career with 71 combined tackles, 14 tackles for loss and six sacks. Brinson was a member of both of Georgia’s national championship-winning teams in 2021 and ’22.
Brinson battled injury for the first time in his career in 2023. He ended up missing two games but racked up 21 total tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks. Some consideration was given to entering the 2024 NFL Draft, but like Nazir Stackhouse, Brinson decided to return for his final season of eligibility.

Despite missing two more games with injury, Brinson had the best season of his career. He set career highs in tackles (26) and tackles for loss (six) while recording a pair of sacks. Brinson suffered an Achilles injury in the 2024 season opener after just one snap. He missed the rest of that game and the next two before getting healthy for the final 12 games.

Brinson wore a lot of hats at Georgia. He played defensive tackle and nose tackle early in his career and later saw time as a defensive end and in specialty roles on third down and in pass-heavy situations. The Packers love the versatility Brinson brings to the table.
“I think Brinson coming out probably has a little more pass rush naturally,” Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said. “But again, a really big man that can do a lot of things. I think the coaching staff and I know I believe he can play up and down the line. He’s not just a one-position player on the defensive line. So that was one of the things that attracted us to him.”
