Washington Commanders activate WR Noah Brown from Reserve/Injured List
The Washington Commanders had a decision to make on wide receiver Noah Brown. Bringing him off the Reserve/Injured List would allow Brown to join the team down the stretch. Otherwise, his window for opportunity to return would be closing.
On Saturday, the organization decided to activate the wide receiver before Sunday’s road game against the Minnesota Vikings. A nice weapon back in the rotation, potentially for franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels — who is still working his way back from an injury as well.
As usual, a corresponding move is needed to make room for Brown. Unfortunately, another wide receiver, Chris Moore, found himself on the wrong side. Moore was released by the Commanders.
Brown has played in two games this season for Washington, starting in both. He has caught three passes on seven targets, going for 36 yards. One of those receptions did convert into a first down for the Commanders.
If he does get back on the field vs. Minnesota, Brown will spend his afternoon attempting to score his first touchdown of the year. Not a bad way to celebrate getting activated off injured reserve, hoping to make some noise in the offense.

If nothing else, an opportunity to close out the season strong presents itself to Brown. Washington finds itself on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoff picture.
Status of Jayden Daniels released ahead of Vikings matchup
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) will make his return to the gridiron this Sunday afternoon against the Minnesota Vikings. Daniels has missed the past three games with an elbow injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of Washington’s 38-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 2.
Veteran quarterback Marcus Mariota has started for the Commanders in Daniels’ absence. In that span, Washington is 0-3 and has dropped to 3-9 on the season. Although they are nowhere near playoff contention, Daniels wants to finish the final four games of the season strong.
Prior to Daniels’ injury, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year completed 62.5% of his passes for 1,184 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s also tossed two interceptions, while rushing for 262 yards and two more scores. Many fans and figureheads have pleaded for Daniels to sit out the remainder of the season due to his team being well out of playoff contention, but that doesn’t appear to be happening.
