Assessing the Ole Miss defensive ends for 2024 season

When I’m out and about in Oxford, I’m often quizzed about Ole Miss and the main question I have gotten about the 2024 football team, surprisingly, is

We are often asked: What are the weaknesses on this 2024 Ole Miss team?

(In the next week or so, we are going to break down every football position based on what we saw during Ole Miss' spring drills and keeping in mind

Ole Miss and head coach Lane Kiffin were incredibly thorough and detailed throughout the 2023 cycle with who they targeted at the high school level.

Not enough on film yet to project a level. Add more game film and verified measurables to unlock a full projection.

A developmental projection today — keep adding film, measurables, and reps, and your evaluation grows with your game.

Blue-chip traits — a high-priority Power 4 target with the tools to contribute early at the highest level.

Blue Chip

The top of the scale — national-caliber talent that every major program pursues, with a clear NFL trajectory.

Elite / Top 100

Ultra-productive edge rusher for state regional finalists Pahokee (FL) whose get off is unmatched by almost anyone in the country. Totaled 92 tackles and made an absurd number of plays behind the line of scrimmage with 25.5 tackles for loss and 19.5 sacks as a junior. Insane first step off the line of scrimmage. Convert speed to power with ease. Not scared to bull rush despite lack of ideal size and length. Solid against the run, better chaser than stuffer. Needs to develop hand usage and pass rush arsenal. Frame is more of an off-ball backer build but can still be effective off the edge at the college level. Late-round NFL projection due to size but has all the athletic ability in the world to be a terror at the college level.
