Elvis Estrada

Elvis Estrada is a 6-foot, 190-pound Class of 2027 quarterback at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School in San Antonio, Texas. Raised in a close-knit, faith-centered family, Elvis developed his discipline, accountability and leadership through the influence of his father, who has more than 20 years of youth-sports coaching experience, and his mother, an educator. The oldest of three athletic brothers, Elvis takes pride in setting a positive example on and off the field. He carries a 3.9 GPA and is also an accomplished varsity baseball player. Elvis became Johnson’s starting quarterback as a sophomore and compiled a 23–3 record over his first two seasons, leading the Jaguars to back-to-back undefeated district championships for the first time in program history. His honors include 2025 Padilla Poll Coaches Class 6A Second-Team All-State quarterback, 2025 Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 6A Honorable Mention All-State quarterback, First-Team All-District 27-6A, San Antonio Express-News Class 6A All-Area quarterback, Express-News Offensive Player of the Week and District 27-6A passing leader. As a sophomore, he earned District Honorable Mention, Jon Wayne Player of the Week and Valero Energy Offensive Player of the Game recognition. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football selected Elvis as its preseason district Offensive MVP in both 2025 and 2026 and featured him as part of its No. 2-ranked elite Class 6A/5A quarterback-receiver combination entering 2026. He was also recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of the top Texas quarterbacks entering the 2026 season and was nominated for VYPE San Antonio Offensive Player of the Year. In 2025, Elvis led Johnson to a 13–1 record and the UIL Class 6A Division I regional final, the program’s first appearance since 2013. His defining performance came in the regional semifinal against Steele, when he led Johnson back from an 18-point fourth-quarter deficit and threw four touchdown passes in a 29–28 victory. Entering his senior season, Elvis held Johnson records for single-game passing yards (494), single-season passing yards (3,130), career passing yards (5,276), single-season completions (198), career completions (348), single-season touchdown passes (39) and career touchdown passes (61). Known for his accuracy, composure, toughness, preparation and leadership under pressure, Elvis remains grounded in his faith, family, education and commitment to representing his teammates, school and community.
