Productive pass rusher who dominates at a lower level of competition. His monster junior season consisted of 124 tackles, 40.5 tackles for loss and 22.5 sacks. Motor and willingness to pursue from backside jumps off the screen. Makes plays from sideline to sideline. Shows strong instincts and field vision for a defensive lineman. Has the frame and build to add quality mass throughout his body. Measured in at 6-foot-4 and a half, just over 260 pounds with a 6-foot-8 wingspan and 10-inch hand. Jumped a 24-inch vertical and ran a 7.53 3-cone in the spring prior to his senior season. Ran a 12.54 100m and 28.45 200m during his junior track season at over 260 pounds. Closing speed is evident in his play. Lacks ideal hand usage and technique at the point of attack. Leverage is the biggest area for improvement at this point. Will need to continue to improve his pad level, but his effort can not be taught and he has it in buckets. May need time to adjust to the uptick in competition level as he plays in a classification that does not have a strong track record of producing college and especially NFL players.
